OM -g..... The sound of a decent investment??

In the lead up to Diwali, the Royal Mint has expanded its Indian-inspired gold minted bullion bar range, which now features new 1g and 5g Om gold bars. I covered in a post earlier this week: HERE, how impressed i was with their Ganesha gold bar design, and their new Om bar is just as delightful on the eye.

The festival of Diwali, also known as Deepawali, is an annual five-day celebration held by millions of Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists in India and across the world. Diwali follows the Hindu lunar calendar, and takes place in October or November, depending on the cycle of the moon each year. The highlight of the celebrations takes place on the third night of the festival, which is the darkest night of the lunar month, and this year, Diwali will occur on 24th October 2022.

"Om" is a sacred symbol and sound, known as the vibration of the universe, that has been used for centuries in Hindu prayers and ceremonies. Which is why it seems very fitting that yhe RM has added this design to its Diwali inspired range of gold bars.

The 5g bar will set you back around £320, with the 1g bar coming in at a reasonable £79. Still almost double "spot" proce, but could definitely be an interesting addition, and talking point to a collectors stack.
