🎡 Parque Todo en Uno: Un día de diversión en Varadero + un gran susto 😱 (ESP-ENG)

Hola amigos de Hive Cuba 🇨🇺, espero que todos estén bien y aprendiendo mucho en las clases de "Hive desde Cero". Hoy vengo a hablarles de mi experiencia en un parque de diversiones que se encuentra en Varadero: el Parque Todo en Uno. Seguramente muchos ya han estado allí, a los que no han podido visitar este lugar los exhorto a seguir leyendo para descubrir así algunas de sus atracciones. Sobre todo quiero hablarles de un buen susto 😱 que me llevé allí y advertirles para que no cometan el mismo error.

Hello friends of Hive Cuba 🇨🇺, I hope everyone is well and learning a lot in the "Hive from Zero" classes. Today I am here to tell you about my experience in an amusement park located in Varadero: All in One Park. Surely many have already been there, to those who have not been able to visit this place, I urge you to continue reading to discover some of its attractions. Above all I want to tell you about a good scare 😱 that happened to me there and warn you not to make the same mistake.

¿Qué hacía yo en Varadero?

What was I doing in Varadero?

Creo que todos podemos concordar en que para un cubano no es muy fácil ir a Varadero, pues para los que no recibimos ayuda del exterior esto significa meses de sacrificio y ahorro. El viaje pudo ser posible gracias a que en el mes de agosto me casé y mi esposo y yo utilizamos nuestros ahorros para ir a Varadero, que mejor lugar para pasar nuestra luna de miel, ¿verdad?

Pasamos unos días increíbles, yo ya había ido unas cuantas veces a Varadero pero nunca a quedarme tantos días en un hotel y para mi esposo era la primera vez. Prácticamente no salíamos del hotel pues disfrutamos mucho de la piscina y la playa. Sin embargo, escogimos un día para ir a pasear por la ciudad, especialmente teníamos ganas de ir al parque de diversiones pues en Pinar del Río, donde vivimos, no tenemos un parque así con montaña rusa, carritos locos y realidad virtual, teníamos que aprovechar la oportunidad.

I think we can all agree that it is not very easy for a Cuban to go to Varadero, because for those of us who do not receive help from abroad this means months of sacrifice and savings. The trip could be possible thanks to the fact that I got married in August and my husband and I used our savings to go to Varadero, what better place to spend our honeymoon, right?

We spent some incredible days, I had already been to Varadero a few times but never to stay so many days in a hotel and for my husband it was the first time. We hardly left the hotel because we really enjoyed the pool and the beach. However, we chose a day to go for a walk around the city, we especially wanted to go to the amusement park because in Pinar del Río, where we live, we don't have a park like this with a roller coaster, crazy cars and virtual reality, we had to take advantage of the opportunity.

Decidimos visitar el parque en nuestro segundo día, era una de las primeras cosas que queríamos hacer para luego disfrutar los siguientes días dentro del hotel en la piscina y la playa. Por tanto desde el primer día compramos el ticket necesario para andar en el bus turístico, el cual te lleva por todo Varadero por un día entero y hay que sacarlo desde el día anterior. A la mañana siguiente nos levantamos temprano, desayunamos y fuimos para la parada a esperar el autobús que nos dijeron que pasaba cada 15 minutos.

We decided to visit the park on our second day, it was one of the first things we wanted to do and then enjoy the following days inside the hotel at the pool and the beach. Therefore, from the first day we buy the necessary ticket to ride the tourist bus, which takes you all over Varadero for a whole day and you have to get it from the day before. The next morning we got up early, had breakfast, and went to the bus stop to wait for the bus, which they told us ran every 15 minutes.

Olvídense de la piscina, la playa, la barra abierta, la habitación con aire acondicionado y la wi-fi gratis, definitivamente lo que más extraño de Varadero son esos suculentos y nutritivos desayunos.

Forget about the pool, the beach, the open bar, the room with air conditioning and the free Wi-Fi, definitely what I miss most about Varadero are those succulent and nutritious breakfasts.

Bueno, bueno, no nos desviemos. El autobús, de dos pisos, llegó bastante rápido y por supuesto para vivir la experiencia completa nos montamos en la parte de arriba, donde había mucho aire, pero íbamos disfrutando de la vista viendo todos los hoteles y la ciudad hasta llegar al parque.

Well, well, let's not deviate. The double-decker bus arrived quite quickly and of course to live the full experience we got on the top, where there was a lot of air, but we were enjoying the view seeing all the hotels and the city until we reached the park.

El autobús nos dejó en la parada del parque, pero había que caminar un poco para llegar y como a los hombres no les gusta pedir indicaciones, seguimos a un grupo de personas que supusimos iban para el parque. Afortunadamente así fue, al llegar vimos muchas atracciones pero muchas de ellas eran para niños, así que nos concentramos en las mejores para adultos para así ahorrar tiempo, y compramos tickets para la montaña rusa y para los carritos locos.

The bus dropped us off at the park stop, but we had to walk a bit to get there and since men don't like to ask for directions, we followed a group of people who we assumed were going to the park. Fortunately it was like that, when we arrived we saw many attractions but many of them were for children, so we concentrated on the best ones for adults to save time, and we bought tickets for the roller coaster and for the crazy cars.

La primera fue la montaña rusa 🎢 por supuesto, era la que más resalta a la vista. Hicimos la cola y nos tocó montar la parte de atrás del carrito, creo que para bien pues en una bajada casi me salgo del asiento. Como toda montaña rusa el viaje empieza lento en una subida y al llegar a la cima empieza a descender a gran velocidad en curvas. Fueron unos minutos intensos, que les digo. Al salir de allí puedes pasar a recoger una foto sorpresa que te hacen en la bajada final de la montaña rusa. Aquí se las dejo para que se ríen con mi cara sintiendo la adrenalina en todo su esplandor 🤪, mientras que Daniel, mi esposo, con sus labios apretados es más de sentir las emociones hacia adentro 🤭.

The first was the roller coaster 🎢 of course, it was the one that stands out the most to the eye. We stood in line and we had to ride the back of the cart, I think it was for the best because on a descent I almost got out of the seat. Like any roller coaster, the trip starts slowly on a climb and when it reaches the top it begins to descend at high speed in curves. They were some intense minutes, I tell you. When you leave there you can go to pick up a surprise photo that they take of you at the final descent of the roller coaster. Here I leave it for you to laugh with my face feeling the adrenaline in all its splendor 🤪, while Daniel, my husband, with his tight lips is more of feeling the emotions inward 🤭.

De ahí fuimos para los carritos locos y luego de una larga cola pudimos montarlos. Cada uno iba en un carrito diferente, mi estrategia era tratar de no chocar con nadie para disfrutar mejor del tiempo que daban, pero no pude evitar que me chocaran a veces. En uno de los choques por poco me sacan del asiento y todo. En fin, fue muy divertido.

From there we went to the crazy cars and after a long queue we were able to ride them. Each one was in a different cart, my strategy was to try not to bump into anyone to better enjoy the time they gave, but I couldn't avoid getting bumped sometimes. In one of the crashes they almost took me out of the seat and everything. In the end, it was a lot of fun.

Lo último que hicimos en el parque fue entrar a la sala de juegos virtuales. Habían varios juegos para niños pero lo que nos interesaba era probar la realidad virtual, pues era algo nuevo para nosotros.

The last thing we did in the park was enter the virtual game room. There were several games for children but what we were interested in was trying virtual reality, as it was something new for us.

Se podía elegir lo que quisieras ver y yo, creyéndome valiente, pedí algo de terror. Quería probarme que no podía asustarme al saber que lo que iba a ver no era real y no estaba pasando en verdad. Pero no salió como esperaba, pues lo que vi me pareció súper real y terminé temblando y con los ojos aguados del miedo que esa experiencia me hizo sentir. De hecho no pude terminar de verlo todo, duraba 6 minutos y creo que solo duré 2 minutos y algo, pues no podía más. En mi vida había sentido tanto miedo, me creí que no me afectaría ya que soy de ver muchas películas de terror pero no se compara con la realidad virtual, en serio parece como que estás en ese lugar.

You could choose what you wanted to see and I, believing myself brave, asked for something terrifying. I wanted to prove that I couldn't be scared knowing that what I was about to see wasn't real and wasn't really happening. But it didn't turn out as expected, because what I saw seemed super real to me and I ended up trembling and with watery eyes from the fear that this experience made me feel. In fact I couldn't finish watching it all, it lasted 6 minutes and I think I only lasted 2 minutes and something, because I couldn't take it anymore. In my life I had never felt that much fear, I thought it would not affect me since I watch a lot of horror movies but it does not compare to virtual reality, it really seems like you are in that place.

¿Y que ví? Bueno, empezaba conmigo en un sótano oscuro y tenebroso y tenía un monstruo sobre mí. Luego se abrió una puerta y empezaba a acercarse a mi una mujer en un vestido blanco y sucio y me enterraba unas tijeras. Literal, tenía que mirar hacia otro lado o cerrar los ojos porque todo se sentía tan real. Después de eso la puerta se acercaba más y más y solo podía ver oscuridad. Una vez dentro el lugar era como una morgue con cuerpos cubiertos con sábanas blancas que empezaron a moverse y a gritar, era para morirse de miedo. Unos momentos después me quité el aparato, no podía más y mi esposo terminó de ver el final por mí. Me dijo que al final era que te sumergen en agua y salía una criatura peluda y muy fea. Menos mal que no vi esa parte pues hasta el aire me hubiera faltado. Mi esposo, en cambio, optó por algo menos intenso, como fiel fan a los videojuegos, escogió una nave espacial donde podía disparar a varios objetivos en el espacio.

And what did I see? Well, it started with me in a dark, scary basement and had a monster all over me. Then a door opened and a woman in a dirty white dress began to approach me and plunged a pair of scissors into me. I literally had to look away or close my eyes because it all felt so real. After that, the door got closer and closer and I could only see darkness. Once inside, the place was like a morgue with bodies covered in white sheets that began to move and scream, it was scary to death. A few moments later I took off the device, I couldn't take it anymore and my husband finished watching the end for me. He told me that the end was that you were submerged in water and a hairy and very ugly creature came out. Luckily I didn't see that part because even the air would have been missing. My husband, instead, opted for something less intense, as a true fan of video games, he chose a spaceship where he could shoot various targets in space.

Al final nos fuimos contentos del parque, ya que vivimos nuevas experiencias llenas de adrenalina y emociones fuertes, y ya sé que para la próxima no me hago tanto la valiente 😅.

In the end we left the park happy, since we lived new experiences full of adrenaline and strong emotions, and I know that next time I won't be so brave 😅.
