Wednesday walk: a trip to a nearby store (Eng/Esp)

Greetings hivers, today my aunt and I had to go out to do some necessary shopping for the house, and we went to a store that is quite close, where they sell a variety of food, beverages and toiletries. It is located on Alameda Street, and I wanted to take the opportunity to take some pictures and show you this part of the city that I had not shown you before.

Saludos hivers, hoy mi tía y yo tuvimos que salir a hacer algunas compras necesarias para la casa, y nos llegamos hasta una tienda que queda bastante cerca, dónde venden variedad de productos de comida, bebida y aseo. Está ubicada en la Calle Alameda, y quise aprovechar la oportunidad para tomar algunas fotos y mostrarles esta parte de la ciudad que no había mostrado antes.

It is only three blocks from my house to Alameda Street, a very wide and long two-way street, where there are many houses, private businesses and other institutions such as schools, warehouses and pharmacies, among others.

Son solo tres cuadras de mi casa a la calle Alameda, es una calle bastante amplia y larga de dos sentidos, en la cual hay muchas casas, negocios particulares y otras instituciones como escuelas, bodegas y farmacias, entre otras.

The store has the same name as the street: Alameda. As we entered we saw many products, canned goods were plentiful and we checked the meat part of the store as well. We paid for our purchase and before leaving we went into the other places inside the store to have a look around.

La tienda tiene el mismo nombre de la calle: Alameda. Al entrar vimos muchos productos, los enlatados abundaban y revisamos la parte de los cárnicos también. Pagamos la compra y antes de irnos entramos a los otros locales dentro de la tienda para echar un vistazo.

There is a part where they sell household appliances, bicycles and tools of all kinds and another part where they sell clothes, flip-flops and beauty and hair care products.

Inside the store there is also a cafeteria and a space where young children can play.

Hay una parte donde venden equipos electrodomésticos, bicicletas y herramientas de todo tipo y otra parte donde vende ropa, chancletas y productos de belleza y cuidado del pelo.

Además dentro de la tienda hay una cafetería y un espacio donde los niños más pequeños pueden jugar.

At the side of the store and all along the street it is very common to see street vendors selling any kind of products, especially groceries, vegetables, garlic and rice, although some also sell toiletries. These days you see a lot of banana sales in the city. The vendors sell their products in their stalls, although others use wheelbarrows and others simply do not have anything, they sell from the vicinity of their homes, because they do not have the resources to own one of these stalls.

Al costado de la tienda y por toda la calle es muy común ver vendedores ambulantes que venden cualquier tipo de productos, sobre todo viandas, vegetales, ajo y arroz; aunque algunos también venden productos de aseo. Por estos días se ve mucha venta de plátanos en la ciudad. Los vendedores venden sus productos en sus puestos, aunque otros usan carretillas y otros simplemente no tienen nada, venden desde la cercanía de su casa, pues no tienen los recursos para poseer un puesto de estos.

This pizzeria that I will show you is next to the store, it is normal to see many of these all over the city.

Esta pizzería que les mostraré está al costado de la tienda, es normal ver muchas de estas por toda la ciudad.
