Stage We Share: A Poetry

avatar
(Edited)

We gather in half light,

Shoulder pressed to shoulder

Each rehearsing

The lines we think...

But truth is unrehearsed thing,

It stumbles onto stage,

Without a cue,

Without a costume.

Blinking in the sudden

Brightness.

Community is not applause,

It is the silence after,

When the masks are still warm....

We perform our certainities,

Like armor we've forgotten

We put on.

End

Subject: This poetry deals with the uncertainities we face on a daily basis as life goes on in a very metaphorical manner.
