English version

Hello travelers, backpackers and hikers, I tell you that a few weeks ago I visited several natural waterfalls very close to my city, these waterfalls formed what are known as "Las piscinas del Altar", they are basically wells or natural pools not very deep and with a really warm water.
I had planned this trip with 3 friends and university classmates for a long time, and one day unexpectedly at 10am we decided to go to this beautiful place that is approximately 65km from our city, the motorcycle ride took us 1h and 20min approximately at a constant speed between 80-90km / h. This is one of the few paradises in the world where we could enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls.

This is one of the few natural paradises that are close to my city and have easy access by car, since most are very long walks through mountains or forests to access rivers or formations like this.
The vehicles arrive at the edge of the river and there we can leave them parked while we enjoy a little swim in these waters.

The journey to this site is the most beautiful and entertaining I have seen and in which I have driven, the road is on the main road to another city, on the Barquisimeto-Acarigua highway, at a specific point we must turn off to a small town called Gamelotal, here the road changes completely and the environment is of forest with many trees around, lots of cattle, extensions of cultivated land (crops such as corn, bananas and grains), and country houses.
The road is in very good condition and apparently the local people keep it clean, there are no holes in the asphalt and everything is very well signposted.

These waterfalls are frequented by many people on weekends, so it is very clean and well signposted even by the local mayor's office, the local people told us that they sell soup and other food for tourists so it serves them economically and try to keep everything clean and in order.

At the beginning the river is abundant and the waterfalls are small, going down the river we can reach the last of them which is the highest and deepest, there are two ways, the first is the way through the forest and a really extreme descent, and the second is following the river and down the rocks which is much easier.
We take the forest path and walk for about 5 minutes until we reach the place of the slope, there with the help of the lianas we go down to the river, in total 10 minutes.

But going down is not so easy, because if it is wet from a rain, it is extremely difficult to have grip on the feet and the most usual is to fall once or twice, but when falling we must try to hold on to something because the slope will take you to the bottom and the fall is long.

Finally in the river the first thing we can admire is the impressive and beautiful waterfall. As the water falls from the top and the shape of the rocks due to the passage of water, everything seems artificial but however this modeling has been completely natural.
The water is extremely crystalline and pure spring water, as the river starts from a mountain where the water springs from some rocks.

Although the place is a forest, and it rains very often, the water is warm, it is not as cold as I expected, so we bathed here for about 2 hours. We were the only ones in this place and we could enjoy it to the fullest, so we took about 200 pictures between all of us.

Walking a little further up the waterfall there are other smaller ones, but the most interesting of all is where we were so we did not make so much effort to climb.
