Where The Mountains Breathe: A Weekend At Paharuhay Campsite

Paharuhay Campsite was one for the books and was such a perfect escape with my friends after a long week. This campsite allowed us to breathe deeply, freeing us from frustrations and expectations, connecting again to nature like our ancestors. From the first step following the trail to the peak, setting up camping tents, watching sunsets, and bonfiring at night while having the most memorable conversations, everything was perfect and valuable to be kept in my mind. It was not an expensive trip, but it was quality and deserving of recollection, almost like an elegant and expensive stay in a deluxe destination. What I liked about this campsite was the green and panoramic viewpoint of the mountain ranges of Tabogon. At sunset, the sun would hit you right on your face, caressing it gently as the day ends.

Among my favorites of the Paharuhay Campsite experience, one stood out the most: its striking and majestic mountain ranges. When I saw them, I remembered how far Tabogon has become known. They carry wide biodiversity, healthy mountain ranges, endemic species of plants and animals, as well as rich tourism just like this campsite, cold springs, and hidden caves. For someone who loves retreat, this destination is the most perfect and suitable. The reach was not just on the peak, it was also in the top happiness it could give us as we spent a night on its hallowed ground.

And as we packed our tents and slowly left the trail behind, I realized that the true beauty of Paharuhay was not only in its mountains and sunsets, but in the quiet moments it gave us to pause, breathe, and simply be present. It was a simple trip, yet one that will stay with me for a long time.

How to Get There:

Assume you are at the North Bus Terminal in Cebu City, where most tourists start their trip towards the north. Search for a bus that is labeled "Hagnaya/Lambusan.or Bogo City." The bus will take you tonthe north and once you arrive in Tabogon, just say you'll stop at "Upper Caduawan" and tell the exact place or the name of the campsite, which fortunately drivers know where this place is. And welcome, you arrived home.
