A few days ago I had the opportunity for work reasons, to visit the city of Maracay, capital of the state of Aragua - Venezuela, about 30 minutes from the city where I live Valencia, Carabobo state. As always considered sister cities and neighbors because of their proximity and in a way cities of great importance for the country, for its economic, cultural and historical contribution.

And given the case raised above, I did not miss the opportunity to take some pictures, taking advantage of the fact that I took my camera, although I do not usually take it when I have work to do for my job, but I wanted to take advantage of this situation of a small tour I did through the center of Maracay, before returning to the city where I live. So the tour, I captured some images mostly of architectural structures of great value to the city or otherwise sites of interest.

All with the intention of capturing these images in black and white, fitting these buildings that are mostly of a colonial and neoclassical architectural style, with the exception of the modern Sindoni tower, which has always been a landmark of the city. Of course, I also took color photographs, but I used them in another publication and this time from other angles and with another intention I portray these places under the technique of photographic achromatism.

In other aspects, with more reference to the execution of the photographs, the parameters were adjusted with an iso of 100 and high shutter speeds over 1/1000, due to the intense sun of that day, so I had to take care that the photos were not overexposed, although in certain occasions I had to lower the speed because shadows were generated in some lenses. In addition to emphasize a high contrast adjustment in some photographs, just to give a little texture to the pictures.

All photographs are my own and were taken with a Canon T3i camera.

Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad por motivos de trabajo, de visitar la ciudad de Maracay, capital del estado Aragua - Venezuela, a unos 30 minutos de la ciudad donde vivo Valencia, estado Carabobo. Como siempre consideradas ciudades hermanas y vecinas por su cercanía y en cierta forma ciudades de gran importancia para el país, por su aporte económico, cultural e histórico.

Y dado el caso planteado anteriormente, no perdí la oportunidad de sacar algunas fotografías, aprovechando que llevé mi cámara fotográfica, aunque no la suelo llevar cuando tengo trabajo que hacer por mi empleo, pero quise aprovechar esta situación de un pequeño recorrido que hice por el centro de Maracay, antes de regresar a la ciudad donde vivo. Por lo que el recorrido, capté algunas imágenes mayormente de estructuras arquitectónicas de gran valor para la ciudad o en su defecto sitios de interés.

Todo con la intención de captar estas imágenes en blanco y negro, adecuándose a estas edificaciones que en su mayoría son de un estilo arquitectónico colonial y neoclásica, con la excepción de la moderna torre Sindoni, que desde siempre ha sido un punto de referencia de la ciudad. Por supuesto, también saqué fotografías a color, pero las utilicé en otra publicación y en esta ocasión desde otros ángulos y con otra intención retrato estos lugares bajo la técnica del acromatismo fotográfico.

En otros aspectos, con más referencia a la ejecución de la fotografías, los parámetros estuvieron ajustados con iso de 100 y velocidades de obturación altas sobre 1/1000, debido al intenso sol de ese día, por lo que se debía cuidar que las fotos no salieran sobreexpuestas, aunque en ciertas ocasiones tenía que bajar la velocidad debido a que se generaba sombras en algunos objetivos. Además de recalcar un ajuste en alto contraste en algunas fotografías, solo para darle un poco de textura a las fotografías.
