Emotion, music, and black and white

Music undoubtedly evokes many emotions and feelings in people; we are predisposed to it regardless of the musical genre. For this occasion, I bring you this series of photographs, primarily in black and white, from an event I attended many months ago. I still have a whole folder of photos from different angles of what happened that day, which was a tribute to the legendary English band, The Beatles.

As you can see, I focused on the musicians' performance, but I also highlighted details of the people who attended that day. You can see the emotion and devotion they felt while listening to these classic songs. It was like stepping back in time for each of them, revisiting that youthful moment they each experienced.

I'm not a huge Beatles fan myself, but I grew up listening to a lot of their music, and I can say that it's incredibly moving to listen to them. The power and scale they possessed were incredible, and even decades later, each of their songs is still being played. Furthermore, I must say that the musicians performed the songs flawlessly; even their clothing and instruments were identical.

All photographs are my own.
