Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. There is an argument that have been a subject of discussion among so many people for a long time and it is the relationship between drug abuse and high consumption of alcohol and every form of abuse especially domestic abuse, child abuse and verbal abuse. It has been argued that majority of domestic abuse cases are caused by excessive drinking of alcohol and drug abuse. This may not be totally true in all cases. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

It may be true that men who are chronic alcohol consumers are liable to get involved in one kind of domestic abuse or another due to the fact that they could not think straight when the alcohol is in their system. However, I'm sure that there are some high alcohol consumers who do not abuse their partners, no matter how intoxicated they are. In fact, most of the issues of domestic violence, assaults and the likes that we get to read about in the dailies, social media, and the ones we see around us are in the absence of alcohol - they are intentional.

Beating, or speaking to your partner in an aggressive or rude way is a behavior that is learnt from social relations with friends or family and it is not true that it is totally caused by alcohol or drug abuse. In other words, it is a social behavior and not absolutely influenced by abuse of substance. Most times, men who have grown into the habit of abusing their wives blame it on alcohol as an escape tactics from taking full responsibility for their actions.

Domestic assaults can be caused by inability to control one's temper, desire for power or control over one's partner, low self-esteem among others. Substance abuse and too much of alcohol could also prompt it but it should not be seen as the only cause. Child abuse, for instance is often caused when a man or woman is having issues relating to sex in their marriage, this prompts the unsocilicited moves on a child. Lack of good moral standards could also be a reason for child abuse.

Excuse as we know is something we use when we do what we are not supposed to do or we did not do what we are supposed to do. For example, a person who abuse a child sexually may not admit to the fact that it was done on purpose. It is most likely they blame it on two things - the devil or alcohol. Generally as humans we find it hard to accept that we are at fault even when it's crystal clear, so alcohol is something we blame our actions on.
