Zoom with Brother Eli Soriano and Brother Daniel Razon. 6th September 2023 meeting: Love one another.

Greetings family of God, it's a beautiful Wednesday, and am excited to be part of God's family MCGI. Everyday our zoom meetings just keeps getting better and better. I noticed more people keep joining each and everyday. Like always today was another awesome moment in the presence of God.
As I do and will continue to do always, would like to share my reflection on what we learnt to help others who were not able to have the time to make it to the meeting, so all can be blessed.

Today's Focus:

We learnt 5 major things in today's broadcast

  1. How to tell a false prophet or church from real (1 John 4:1)
  2. Having Love for one another: the prove if discipleship (John 13:34-35)
  3. Stealing no more (Ephesians 4:28)
  4. Being merciful to obtain Mercy (Mathew 5:7)
  5. Giving to those in need (Mathew 20:35)

Let's have a brief discussion on them, shall we:

Brother Daniel Razon:

Our dear brother in the Lord opened up todays teaching by showing us our to identify the false believer from the real ones. This is important because, the bible says if the blind leads the blind both will fall into a ditch

Matthew 15:14 KJV
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

So by this scripture, we learn that it's important who we follow and listen to because they will lead us to where they are going. If we follow false prophets they will lead us astray.

1 John 4:1 KJV
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

God is teaching us to check those we follow because not all of them are going the right direction.
Brother Razon thought us that there are signs you can use to tell whether a person is of God or not based on what you see them do.

Matthew 7:16 KJV
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

He stated and I quote "It's one thing to claim you are of God and it's another to prove you are of God"
He said that it's very easy for people to dress and talk like they are of God, which can easily decieve many. So it is important for us to verify their words by their works, because it's is the works that counts not the words.

This lead us to our second point:

Having Love for one another:

Brother Daniel continue to teach us from

Matthew 28:19-20 KJV
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And he explained to us that Jesus has commanded us to make disciples of men, teaching them not only to listen or hear God's word but to do them. So the proof that you are a disciple of Christ is if you obey, not when you quote scriptures and dress like a child of God.

John 13:34-35KJV
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Brother Razon then said if so then this is one of the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ, To love One another, for this is the proof that we are his disciples.

There you have it, if you want to know if a person is of God and is a disciple of Christ you must check whether he has love in him for others.

I realized from this understanding that MCGI and all the Brothers and Sisters in the family are really of God, because from the works I see them do, they show the good fruit of the Holy spirit. I recommend you make MCGI your home, because they will lead you in the right path of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brother Eli Soriano:

Our Dear Brother Eli continued from brother Daniel to teach us on why people steal and what God says about it. He gave us a few reasons and I would like to list some:

IMG_20230906_142122.jpg

  1. Kleptomania: a recurrent urge to steal, typically without regard for need or profit.
  2. Poverty: because they are in desperate need of
  3. To support addictions: for gambling and other addictions they can't help
  4. Greed: because they are not content with what they have and want what is others.

Ephesians 4:28 KJV
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

We saw from the scriptures that God frowns on stealing and commands us not to do it anymore.
We also saw that God expects us to work with our hands. Infact I remember a scripture I read one time, which says God will bless the work of thine hands.

Brother Eli made us to understand that some people steal because they are too lazy to work. He said that there are positive benefits to labouring and even getting tired whiles doing it.

Ecclesiastes 5:12 KJV
The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Do you see that from the scriptures?

He then ushered us to our next point

Giving to those in need:

We see from the same scripture in

Ephesians 4:28 KJV
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

IMG_20230906_142225.jpg

That he expects us to give to people who are in need. I believe MCGI obeys this scripture to the fullest, that's why its my home. They are the best example for our loving others us Christ loved us.

Being Merciful:

The last point Brother Eli and Brother Daniel explained to us was on the issue of being merciful.

Matthew 5:7 KJV
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

He said that anyone who shows his brother mercy has a great chance of obtaining mercy from God at the judgement day.
He said people who are not merciful are only claiming to know and love God but are not like him. The goal is to be like Christ. So therefore my brothers and sisters, please let us forgive ourselves. Jesus said:

Luke 17:1 KJV
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

So when it comes please let it go. The lord's prayer says forgive us our debt as we forgive our debtors. What we want Christ to do for us let's do for our brothers and sisters both in Christ and in the world who I pray will soon join us.

Thank you for taking time to read my reflection on today's zoom meeting. I hope you were blessed by it and I hope to hear from you. Stay blessed.

MCGI CARES.
