Opening My Dcrops Beta Packs

Do you remember the time when FB was just starting making abuzz? I remembered my classmates playing a lot of games in FB at that time, including Farmville and Farm Town. It became our bonding time that many of us would go to internet cafes, be online and steal from each other’s farms. Those were the days..

Now back to current time

As I discover more about Hive, I came across Dcrops. It’s a game similar to the old farming games in FB, similar but different.

I’ve been playing the game for months now just for fun. I don’t really think of the rewards I get from playing it, but now I have been hodling a lot of beta packs, I’m starting to care a little. Though I still don’t wanna go into the details of calculating everything, yeah yeah I’m that lazy LOL

To play the game, of course you need a land so you could plant the seeds you have. There are 4 seasons of the game similar to real life. Seeds can be planted on their specific season. After few days, you can harvest and sell the shares you get.

That was kinda easy until beta update came

Now it’s getting complicated but more exciting! There are craftings, equipments, recipes and a lot more in this beta roll out! If you wanna know more, you can read this post from @dcrops. Honestly the updates of the game haven’t sunk in yet to my confused brain. I think I will need to free up some space in my brain for the details of the updates. 😂🧠

Butttt! That didn’t stop me though from buying the beta packs. Even if you don’t play the game, you can buy the packs guys and just hodl it for crop power. As far as I can remember, hodling 1 pack will get you 2k crop power and if you have 20k CP, you get HIVE rewards from it. (Correct me if I’m wrong) But yeah that’s what I remember. You can ask around the people from the Dcrops discord server if you wanna know more.

During the pre-sale period, I bought 102 beta packs. I opened 2 on the first day then proceeded to open 30. I am not sure where lady luck is but apparently, she left me. I have had no luck getting legendary cards from the 32 beta packs that I have opened.

I tried my luck again this weekend and opened 5 more packs hoping to get at least one legendary card. Ohhh please.

Even with no legendary cards, I’m still happy from what I got. I enjoy planting so I’m happy with the seeds I got. Still don’t know what to do with the equipment because I don’t have the items for making it a nice colored NFT. 😅

Though to be honest, I was really hoping to get some legendary cards esp TREES! I can't plant a real tree in my garden because I don't have one LOL so I was hoping to at least have a virtual tree. 😂

Dcrops has partnered with the PIZZA guild so sometimes there are card opening events in the PIZZA discord server. It’s raining dcrops cards and pizza there so make sure you find time to join the fun! I always make sure to find time to join the events even when it’s dawn in my timezone. 😂 There are other events there too, so it’s a good place to hang out. You can also ask about dcrops there, many people are playing the game and discussing there sometimes.

My current stats for the beta cards:

I got a lot of recipes and seed cards so I'm all good for now.

I don’t wanna open any more packs because I’m planning of hodling them for the crop power.

But I’m planning of buying more since there are still beta packs for sale. If I have extra HBD, I guess I’ll grab some more so I can open more packs or maybe hodl them for the future.

Let’s see how it goes. This all depends on my mood anyways. 😅
