Fashion Aesthetics, Not Worth Your Time, No Today - MARCH INLEO: Day 12

You know, I've never been the type of person who cares much about fashion or fitting into a socially acceptable style. Not that I don't like dressing well, but I've always felt that the way we dress shouldn't define who we are. After all, we're much more than just the clothes we choose to wear, right?

Remember, this post is following the month's prompts from the challenge promoted by @leo.tasks check out the March prompts at March Inleo First Week!

However, lately I've been thinking, thanks to the Prompt of the day, about how the issue of body image and fashion aesthetics can deeply affect people. It's as if we live in a world where perfection is constantly sold as something achievable, but at the same time unattainable for most of us. When I was younger, hold on a sec, I'm still young, but I mean "younger," I never cared much about what I wore. I simply grabbed the first clothes I found in the closet and went about my day. But as I grew older, I began to notice that people around me were increasingly concerned about their image. The pressure to fit into certain beauty standards was palpable.

I remember seeing some scattered magazines and television commercials that showed seemingly perfect models, with sculpted bodies and impeccable faces. And that really messed with my head, it made me start to wonder if I should strive harder to achieve that beauty ideal. But then, I realized something important: true beauty comes from within. It may sound cliché, but it's the pure truth. No matter how perfect someone may appear on the outside, if they don't have a good heart, all that superficial beauty fades away quickly.

Furthermore, I realized that fashion should be a form of personal expression, not a dictatorship imposed by society. Each of us has a unique style, and that's what makes us interesting. Instead of blindly following fashion trends, I started dressing according to what makes me feel comfortable and confident. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good look or that I don't like taking care of myself. After all, who doesn't like to feel beautiful every now and then? But I've learned not to let myself be swayed by society's pressure to achieve an unrealistic standard of beauty.

I think the most important thing is to learn to love and accept yourself, with all your imperfections. We all have our insecurities and areas of our bodies that we would like to change, but that's part of the journey of self-acceptance.

And you know what? True beauty isn't about having the perfect body or following the latest fashion trends. It's about being authentic, about showing who we really are without fear of judgment. Because, in the end, the only opinion about our appearance that really matters is our own. So, if you ask me about body image and fashion aesthetics, I'll tell you this: be yourself, love who you are, and embrace your individuality. Because that's what really matters. Even if it sounded like it was taken from a self-help book, that's the plain truth. Just be you.
