I Finally Got My First Pet 🐶

Would I be doing too much if I said I don't remember my life before Panda?

They say dogs are man's best friend and, absolutely no lies told. It felt like I got not just a best friend but a baby the first time I touched Panda, maybe it's because she's so small. It feels like forever but it's been barely three weeks since I had her.

I was bursting with happiness when I first held her and it was all surreal as I had imagined that moment my whole life. I always wanted a pet right from my childhood days but that was only a dream because I couldn't afford to have one.

first day she came>

I had been whining about getting a dog for months but we couldn't get one because we were considering our neighbours and their kids. Well, my husband surprised me with the most beautiful Lhasa dog in the whole world three weeks ago.

She was exactly two months old when we adopted her and it only took a day for her to warm up to us. She's a whole personality and so fun to be with. Always has us on our toes and tries to trick me into giving her food always with her cute puppy eyes.

There had been a slight worry the first time I saw her, I wondered if I was capable of caring for a tiny being, and so far, I can say I'm enjoying the process and I have no worries.

She's properly taken care of, feeds well, and loves her dog food which is thankfully affordable. The vet says she's doing good health-wise and she's generally a happy puppy.

My best moments so far are in the mornings when she's very excited to see us. It's always like she hasn't seen us for years. It's so cute how dependent she gets and always wants human contact. She cries when she doesn't see us for some minutes and she keeps trying her luck every night to sleep in our room.

I don't remember feeling down these last weeks because she always cheers me up and I'm happy she's always ready to play. She's also always ready to eat and it gets a bit annoying that she never fails to attempt snatching food off our plates. I guess that's just a dog thing right? To always want food?

She's very fiesty and my proudest moment so far was two days ago when she threatened two German shepherd puppies her age. She chased them and got them scared 😄

Anyway, I really love her and how she's blended so easily into our lives. You'd be seeing more of her here henceforth!

I don't think I'll ever be, I fear responsibility.

How do you do it, is your dog trained?

Sometimes it feels like we've made progress but then she immediately does something dumb again that takes us back to square one. But she's a fast learner so hopefully everything she's taught will stick better as she grows.

It's a gradual process though, she will eventually get better.

Aww what a cutie!
The golden retriever I grew up with would eat pretty much anything as long as it wasn't green. If you gave him your plate after supper to eat what was left, he'd eat around any green beans, peas, or broccoli. Even in dog kibble, when we tried a multicolor one once, he left all the green pieces. xD

Lol...does he beg for food though? Panda always begs even with a full belly

I don't remember him begging very much, but he was a really chill dog. :)

Hahaha, Panda is too cute. It usually takes like a day or two for puppies to warm up to their owners but if it's a grown dog, yeesh, it might take a while.

I like the colour of her coat which means you have to bathe her often. Hubby did great! 😄 Take good care of Panda.

I need to get her clothes so she doesn't get so dirty whenever she goes outside
