My Daily Life Improvement Hacks

Sometimes, our minds are so busy that we forget to take care of ourselves. We forget to live a little and do the things that make us happy. In these times we need to breathe and remind ourselves of the little things that bring satisfaction.

I'm in such a phase currently and I decided to calm the fuck down and try to do one thing that I like every day. All the worry in the world isn't going to give me what I want so why not do some happy stuff anyway?

Here are a number of things I do to get my mojo on.

Wake Up Early

Well, I don't love waking up early, my body doesn't even let me. Waking up early means I sleep early so I aim for that. I have trouble sleeping but some nights, I'm very intentional about it and get a good night's rest. This means that I'm pumped for most of the day and it feels really good.

Journaling

This is one habit I don't grow out of but I don't do it often. I write about my thoughts, or about my day, and the outpour reliefs me. It's in these times I am completely honest with myself and reading these notes, later on, shows me how much progress I make with myself.

Drink Coffee

I love drinking coffee and I allow myself to enjoy up to two cups some days for that feel-good effect.

Movie Day

Some days, I am very intentional about watching movies all-day, something different and random. What that does for me is give me a new perspective about life or something to think about.

Cook

I enjoy cooking the most when I'm attempting something new, the suspense has a kick to it.

Read A Book

This is my one true love, it always makes me happy especially when it's a good book. I shed a lot of unhappy and anxious weight by simply reading good fiction, disappearing into another universe.

Learn A New Topic

It's crazy what you can learn on the internet and when I'm not doing that, I feel like my entire existence is being wasted. It's like being served food on a platter and you starve yourself because you're too lazy to eat from the table.

I crave the satisfaction that comes from learning something new and the feeling of being suddenly wiser.

I'm a simple girl and doing one or two of these simple, yet intentional things each day keeps my head in the right place. Isn't it crazy how anxiety makes me forget these regular things in the first place?

I am at this point in life where I feel like I am not living also, I guess I'll try these tips especially journaling; does a book work better or can I use my phone

uhm nice daily routine but mine is kind of different, as for sleep? i don't even want to close my eyes so i only really sleep when it hit me hard, journals? i have one but the last time i touch it was last year, always escaped my mind!, movies? no time to watch at all, i can't remember the last time i finish a series on netflix, i always abandon them after watching episode 3 or 4, read a book? this always make me feel sleepy so i don't do it at all .. lol.. but still self love is important so i take care of myself by eating well!

Paying considerable attention to the food we eat is good for wellness. So what other ways do you keep a clear head?

Self care is definitely important. I used to journal quite a bit when I was younger. I don't do it quite as much anymore, but I think I kind of scratch that itch by posting on Hive. It helps just putting some of the thoughts and fears you have out there. Great post! I found this on Listnerds.

I used to journal on hive before but I became shy when people I know in real-life started reading. Thank you for reading.

Yeah, I can totally understand that. I don't have many people I actually know who read this, so it is a bit more relaxed. I still try to keep it fairly clean in case someone I do know happens upon it.

You have a good daily routine. Everybody's routine is going to be different to fit their lifestyle. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, little changes, or little things added to a daily routine certainly help with feeling good and being motivated to 'get shit done'. I can't remember the time when I read a book, but I used to have 100s of books before I moved to Mexico. Now, I have a few and plan to read them one day haha.
I do like Audiobooks though, because I can just listen to them anywhere. Found this post through Listnerds :)

I am surprised you found this on Listnerds. I don't make use of it but I'll take this as a reminder to get on it now.

Thank you for reading 😊

Someone else posted it there. Not sure who it was as I read this yesterday. But if you want to use someone's link, please feel free to use mine and if you have any questions, let me know! You won't regret Listnerds, I'm sure :)

It's crazy what you can learn on the internet and when I'm not doing that, I feel like my entire existence is being wasted.

This sounds like internet dependency, which is not good. Sometimes it is good to go out, and enjoy nature, without seeing anything on the internet.
