Sometimes You Just Need To Sleep

Today I didn't follow through with my schedule because I had difficulty logging in to my learning platform. I wasn't studying so I decided to watch some YouTube videos instead and I caught myself feeling sleepy. I haven't really been getting enough hours of sleep recently and my body wanted compensation.

I knew it was going to be a good sleep because I dropped all my devices and went straight to bed. I got about 5 hours of sleep and it was already past 8 pm when I woke up. It felt really good to want to sleep and actually do it without hesitation. I woke up feeling good and wasn't even pissed that my schedule had been altered for the day.

It's bedtime now and I'm going to try to sleep even after getting good 5 hours earlier. This is unlike me because I usually don't want to sleep at night when I've had a long nap during the day. I'm trying to change as one of my goals this year is to prioritize my sleep.

I'm jealous of people who can easily sleep, shit and eat anytime they like. I'm one of many whose body metabolism fucks with their entire life and I have to be extra mindful about things my body naturally should be able to do effortlessly.

I've tried it all, but sleeping is one of the hardest things to do. I hate taking naps because I wake up feeling awful and not refreshed, so I'm very grateful for days like this when I'm getting something very close to a healthy dose of sleep.

I am one of those people who can sleep at will but I did suffer from insomnia a while back and I would even bore myself to sleep or pray for sleep which might sound crazy but it always worked.

Insomnia is the worst! Last year was so tough for me but I got better.

It truly is the worse and people don't realise it, everyone would wake up looking refreshed while id be looking like a zombie because I spent the night moving around.

Truly is crazy, thankfully you aren't there again.

Cute dog :D

I hear you about sleep. I really treated it poorly the past few months! I got my ass kicked for about 3 weeks and slept early every night and it feels great. I'm trying my best to not get back into the nights of staying up hours later than when my body told me to go to sleep. Had a bit of a relapse a few nights ago but got back into a better habit, hopefully I can keep it up!

I remember telling people how I hate taking nap because of the way I always wake up to feel even after long hours of nap, so I always dreaded nap but lately, I find myself enjoying my nap and wanting more because of how I wake up feeling but I always find it difficult to sleep at night.
