✂Trying New Outfit Patterns✂: I Made A Dinner Dress
Two Saturdays ago I had a dinner to attend, so I seized the opportunity to try out a new pattern and I settled for an assymetric neckline dress with bishop sleeves. It was fun being all glammed up in a dress I made especially because I look like a pretty boy half the time.
I bought 3½ yards of fabric, I have no idea what it's called but the color and shimmery detail attracted me. I ended up using a little less than 2½ yards. Also got 1½ yard of lining fabric, zipper and sewing thread. Everything cost approximately $7.
For the dress, I used a princess dart pattern for the top to make it 3D and sit more nicely on me. The skirt is a straight skirt with a slit at the back to enable easy walking. The right sleeve is an exaggerated bishop sleeve which is my personal favorite and the left sleeve is basically just two straps attached to the top.
Here are photos of me making this dress from pattern cutting to actual sewing.
It was fun making this dress using just a simple bodice pattern with slight alterations. You can check my first trying new patterns post here.
Here's the final look!

Nice design on this one. Do you also sew male cloths or you specialize on female alone?
Just female clothes for now
Nice dress. So talented you are 😍
Thank you 😊
