Hallucination......or not?
Mac could have sworn that he saw that man behead a human. Blood splashed everywhere. He was too afraid and so he ran straight for the police station. The murderer saw Mac, their eyes met and they had a moment until Mac started running. He wondered why the murderer didn't Pursue him.
"Goo….goo..good day sir. I just witnessed a murder down the road and I think my life is in danger. The killer saw me" Mac stuttered.
"Take a deep breath and tell me what you mean exactly." The policeman said.
" I was walking back from work and I got to a dark corner. It felt like two people were struggling, when I turned around and put my flashlight on, I saw a man beheading another person. His eyes met mine and ...and...and I ran here to report". Mac said.
" Okay, give me the exact location where this incident took place". The policeman asked.
" It's just a few blocks away. Wanton Lane." Mac replied.

" Okay sit right here. My colleague would come and get your statement. Don't go anywhere, I'd be right back".
" Not like I'd have the balls to go anywhere". Mac said to himself.
The policeman came back very furious after some time and headed straight to Mac.
"Young man, the police station is not a place to play pranks! How could you trick us like that?! Do you know you could be sentenced for that?" The policeman screamed.
Mac on the other hand was confused. What was the man talking about. He witnessed a murder!
" Sir, I guess you're mistaken. I literally saw a man kill someone and instead of you trying to solve the case, you're here trying to harass me! Is that ethical at all!?"
"Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave before I press charges against you. "
Mac wanted to protest but the policeman gave him the " do you really want to try me" look. Mac stood up slowly and walked out of the station.
He was really indecisive. Should he go home? Would the killer be there to take his life too? Mac walked slowly back home. Was it all in his head?
