Time Capsule; Barbecuing
Charles recently moved into this new apartment and he already fell in love with the environment. It was so serene, peaceful and quiet. His favorite part of the house was his backyard. He connected so much with his backyard and wished he could spend all his time there.
A month after enjoying the new apartment to himself, he decided to call some of his friends over to spend time together, something he loved doing.
He did invite his friends and they were eager to come and see his new apartment because Charles had rendered a whole lot of praise for the apartment.
No doubt, it was worth the praises they said when they arrived. They had their barbeques and wine. Food was everywhere and love was everywhere too.
"Uncle Charles! Uncle Charles" his friend's four year old daughter Sophia came running. She pulled his shirt to get his attention.
"I dropped my toy, could you come get it for me?" She said with puppy eyes.
" Sure darling, come and show me where you dropped it", he excused himself and followed Sophia.
She pointed down a steep hill and he walked down to get it for her. The toy was stuck and so he had to dig around the sides to avoid damaging the fragile toy. He got digging and he succeeded.
"Look what I found Sophia" he said with a smile as he watched Sophia jump with so much.
"Okay, let me cover this up real quick. I'd be with you shortly".
As he was about to cover the spot, he found something, could this be what I think it is? A time capsule?
"Uncle! We're waiting" Sophia said.
He wiped the sand from it and quickly tossed it into his pocket.
"Coming right up darling"
He covered the spot and ran up.
"You spent so long down there uncle" Sophia said.
"I'm sorry darling. Well I'm back, you could go and keep playing".
He walked into his house and washed the sand off the time capsule and placed it in his drawer.
I'd go through it when everyone is gone.
"Charles! You're missing out here! Come join us" one of his friends called out.
He walked out
"Who missed me? I'm back!"
