Krill Oil: Is it Essential for the Body?

Nowadays, supplements have become an additional intake that is misunderstood by many people, especially the instant society, who want to get something in a short time but use it incorrectly. What is known is that supplements are additional intake to meet deficiencies in certain nutrients, the main thing is to continue to meet nutritional intake from whole foods and then add supplements. Discussing supplements, currently, there are many types of supplements on the market in the form of medicine, liquid, or natural oil which contain certain benefits. In this post, I will discuss a supplement that comes from natural oils which has benefits for body health. Everything I write in this post is just sharing information without the intention of advising you to do something harmful to your health.

Have you ever heard or read about Krill Oil? I just found out about it recently when I was looking for supplements that are similar to Fish Oil but have many benefits too. At first, I thought that Krill Oil was something created from a mixture of chemicals like medicine, but it turned out I was wrong.

About Krill Oil

Krill Oil is a type of supplement in the form of renewable oil from Omega 3 which has recently been widely discussed on the internet. I also looked for more information about Krill Oil as additional new information that could be useful for me personally and also for the people around me. Derived from zooplankton called krill which can only be found in the waters of Antarctica and the northern Pacific Ocean, this krill is the bottom of the food chain for phytoplankton, krill consists of 1 to 4 percent of total fat and 12 to 16 total protein per unit of wet and the dry weight increases the total fat to 12 to 50 percent. Some of the benefits of Krill Oil are:

- Can be healthy for the heart
- Can reduce inflammation
- Can relieve joint and muscle pain
- Can stabilize cholesterol levels in the body

I got the information about the benefits I wrote above from a supplement brand called Transparent Labs with the product name Krill Oil: Raw Series, containing 400mg Phospholipids, 120mg EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid), 55mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic), and 80mcg Astaxanthin (from krill oil ). The reason I discuss Krill Oil from the Transparent Labs brand is because when I wrote this post, there were not many brands selling Krill Oil, perhaps because supplements containing Krill Oil were still relatively new, so I looked for information on Krill Oil with trusted certification.

I use this brand because Transparent Labs Krill Oil has received certification from Labdoor, which is an independent company that tests the accuracy and purity of supplements on the market. You can check it yourself or consult a doctor or supplement expert so you don't misunderstand.
