This time I will discuss a stimulant medicine called Ritalin, I found out about this drug some time ago while watching the Mr. Robot series and was curious about the functions of this medicine. When watching the Mr. Robot series, there are several scenes where Elliot (the main character) takes drugs that can make him focus at work, improve brain performance, and overcome insomnia due to drug addiction.

Ritalin is a stimulant-type medicine that contains methylphenidate, which is a substance used to control the symptoms of ADHD and drugs for people with narcolepsy. Ritalin works by balancing dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain which increases focus and concentration for a long time. Although it can have a positive effect, this drug cannot be used haphazardly. Medicines that contain Methylphenidate like Ritalin can have dangerous side effects if taken in random doses without doctor supervision, users can experience vomiting, nausea, prolonged insomnia, unbearable headaches, and anxiety.

If you just want to increase your focus and concentration while working, you can adopt a healthy lifestyle by consuming a balanced nutritional diet, exercising, and getting enough rest.
