Akira was an important figure for Eichiro Oda (One Piece) and Kishimoto (Naruto), the loss of Akira Toriyama left deep wounds for anime fans, especially Dragonball, Rest In Peace.

That's why I mentioned those two works in my post, they both made letters and it practically broke my heart, where they did mention that if the dragon balls existed they could ask sheng long to bring Akira back. The three of them were very close friends, I understand.
