Antonio always came home complaining that the teacher punished his classmates, and placed each child in one of the corners of the classroom. He would comment to his mother:

-The teacher applies the punishment of the four corners.

Antonio was a very obedient, responsible child and had never been punished. He had a very noble heart. He suffered when he saw his classmates punished and each one in a corner.

He would ask his mother:

-Where did the teacher get that kind of punishment from?

His mother listened to what Antonio told her. He told her that he suffered every time his teacher punished a child. She would put him in a corner facing the wall or kneeling down.

Days went by and every day Antonio felt uncomfortable because of the teacher's attitude towards his classmates.

Until one day he could not stand it and asked the secretary to speak to the school principal. The principal answered his questions and asked him:

-What was the reason for your visit?

He answered:

-I have been suffering for many days because of a very delicate situation that is happening in the classroom, with some classmates who do not have an appropriate behavior, I think and this is surely not the way to channel this problem.

The principal was astonished by the student's confidence and his conviction to find a solution to the problem. She asked him:

-What is the problem Antonio? You are making me nervous.

Antonio nodded his head and answered:

The teacher Susana has a way of punishing children who misbehave, which does not seem appropriate to me. And the headmistress asked:

-What kind of punishment does she apply?

Antonio told the principal what kind of punishment the teacher applied. And that his classmates were not behaving appropriately, but he did not agree with the punishments, especially the four corners. The teacher placed each punished child in each corner of the classroom, sometimes kneeling, sometimes staring at the wall. And the one who did not fulfill the punishment was doubly punished.

The principal congratulated Antonio for his courage in reporting and exposing what was happening in his classroom. The teacher Susana was taken out of the classroom and placed in the custody of the Education Zone. The representatives thanked Antonio for helping their children and that they were no longer being punished.

Antonio had a new teacher named Rosibel, she was as sweet as honey, he said. His classmates began to behave better and little by little Rosibel won the hearts of every child.

Antonio siempre llegaba a casa quejándose que la maestra castigaba a sus compañeros de clases, y los colocaba a cada niño en cada una de las esquinas del aula de clases. Le comentaba a su madre:

-La maestra aplica el castigo de las cuatro esquinas.

Antonio era un niño muy obediente, responsable y nunca lo habían castigado. Tenía un corazón muy noble. Sufría al ver a sus compañeros castigados y cada uno en una esquina.

Le preguntaba a su mamá:

-¿De dónde la maestra habrá sacado ese tipo de castigo?

Su madre escuchaba lo que le contaba Antonio. Él le manifestaba que sufría cada vez que su maestra castigaba a un niño. Lo colocaba en una esquina mirando la pared o arrodillados.

Así pasaron los días y Antonio cada día se sentía incómodo por la actitud de la maestra hacía sus compañeros.

Hasta que un día no aguantó y pidió a la secretaria hablar con la directora del plantel. La directora lo atendió y le preguntó:

-¿Cuál era el motivo de su visita?

Él le respondió:

-Tengo muchos días sufriendo por una situación muy delicada que esta pasando en el salón de clases, con algunos compañeros que no tienen una conducta adecuada, creo y esto seguro que no es la forma de canalizar este problema.

La directora toda asombrada por la seguridad del alumno y su convicción de buscar solución al problema. Le preguntó:

-¿Cual es el problema Antonio? Me estas poniendo nerviosa.

Antonio asintió con la cabeza y respondió:

La maestra Susana tiene una forma de castigar a los niños que se portan mal, que no me parece adecuada. Y la directora preguntó:

-¿Qué tipo de castigo aplica?

Antonio le contó a la directora el tipo de castigo que aplicaba la maestra. Y que sus compañeros no tenian una conducta adecuada, pero él no estaba de acuerdo con los castigos y menos el de las cuatro esquinas. Donde la maestra colocaba a cada niño castigado en cada esquina del salón unas veces arrodillados, otras mirando fijo a la pared. Y el que no cumplía el castigo era doble la penitencia.

La directora felicitó Antonio por lo valiente que fue, al notificar y exponer lo que sucedía en su aula de clases. La maestra Susana fue sacada de aula y puesta a la orden de la Zona Educativa. Los representantes le dieron gracias Antonio por ayudar a sus hijos y que estos no fueran más castigados.

Antonio tuvo una nueva maestra llamada Rosibel, era tan dulce como la miel, decía él. Sus compañeros de clases comenzaron a tener una mejor conducta y poco a poco la maestra Rosibel se ganó el corazón de cada niño.
