Coffee Recipe of the Week: Spiced Strongman Latte
There was no video last week. Alas, there is no video this week, either. I've just plumb run out of time. Videos will be back! In some form or another. Until then, at least, I have new coffee recipes! Just in time for Father's Day, too! Blind Skeleton style, of course.
*Spiced Strongman Latte (for Dad)
Ingredients
- 1 cup of strong brewed coffee (Dark Roast Reaper) or (Chahttps://skeletonbrew.one/products/charred-bones-blend-1rred Bones)
- 1/2 cup of whole milk (or milk alternative)
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground cardamom
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Ground cinnamon (for garnish)
Step 1: The Mighty Brew
Prepare to embark on a journey of flavor with the Spiced Strongman Latte—a Father's Day classic that combines the strength of Skeleton Brew's beans with a captivating blend of spices. Start by brewing a cup of strong coffee using the exceptional quality beans from Skeleton Brew, allowing their robust essence to awaken your senses.
Step 2: The Steaming Ritual
In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium-low heat until it begins to steam, enveloping your kitchen in an enticing aroma. Be careful not to let it reach a boiling point—patience is key as you create the foundation of this delightful latte.
Step 3: The Dance of Spices
Stir in the honey, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom into the hot milk, guiding the spices to intertwine gracefully with the milky embrace. Watch as the flavors blend harmoniously, creating a symphony of warmth and depth.
Step 4: Frothy Mastery
With your frother or a whisk in hand, unleash your inner strongman and vigorously froth the milk until it transforms into a creamy, velvety texture. Feel the anticipation build as the milk becomes a frothy masterpiece, ready to elevate your Spiced Strongman Latte to new heights.
Step 5: The Latte Symphony
Pour the brewed coffee into a mug, allowing its rich, strong character to shine. Slowly add the spiced milk on top, using a spoon to hold back the foam. Witness the elegant fusion of flavors as the coffee and spiced milk join forces, creating a symphony of taste.
Step 6: The Foam's Final Bow
Spoon the remaining foam over the latte, like a strongman displaying his final feat of strength. Let the creamy foam gently cascade, adding a touch of indulgence to each sip.
Step 7: Optional Decadence
For an extra touch of delight, top your Spiced Strongman Latte with a dollop of whipped cream—an ode to the indulgent spirit of Father's Day. Sprinkle a dash of ground cinnamon over the cream, creating a visually captivating garnish that hints at the flavors within.
Step 8: Celebrate with Gusto
Raise your mug and take a moment to savor the Spiced Strongman Latte—a celebration of fathers and their unwavering strength and love. Allow each sip to envelop your taste buds, as the robust coffee and exquisite blend of spices leave an indelible mark on your palate.

Sounds an exceptionally tasty brew, I want some, not a Dad criteria, I'm sure this would not be a problem....

Haha, no, no problem at all. Coffee does not discriminate!
No thankfully not, have a good one! Thanks for the recipe.
I want to try the recipe, sounds attractive to me... in the past, I tried to add honey to coffee a few times, but with no success yet 🤓
It was really tasty when I tried it. I might need to do so again, soon.
I have not tried honey in any concoction yet, but might need to give that a try too!
I love the steps to the finished presentation. One of these days I gonna get my coffee groove on, and I'll probably add this one in the mix:)

Thank you! I definitely had a little more fun putting this together. And it was tasty, too!
I think I'll ask my husband to make a one shot espresso and add ice cubes, water and whipped cream on top, oh with a splash of caramel syrup for a hot afternoon!
