Back to Da Nang for #Monomad Challenge

Back to Da Nang City after 3 months in Saigon.

After so much rain, it was nice to find myself under the dome of clear blue sky in Da Nang.

Besides, a much quieter city with so much less road traffic than in Saigon; I love it.

Moreover, they have large spaces with zero motorbikes on them: the Han River embankment (above) and the seafront sidewalk with the beach:

The beach is almost empty in some spots and there is a crowd in many other places:

The city center is a sort of amusing, with a drop of the colonial French charm here and there:

And good-looking handmade Jesuses in souvenir shops:

Do you see those crosses made of dark dotted wood? That's the palm timber. The coconut tree or toddy palm.

And these are classical Vietnamese furniture:

Red plastic chairs and tables are a signature style of Vietnamese streets. According to statistics, red tables are less likely to be hit by motorbikes, so there is a reason for everything. Lol.

The trouble is that I was in Da Nang for a long while in 2023.

I've had enough of Da Nang,

enough of Vietnam.

Need a change.

Leaving the country in a few days.
