Street Photography Walk in Night Bangkok (that Ended in Covid)
Ok, I am fine already, 6 days of fever, and I feel fine... I was sure I could not get covid since I had one in Georgia a month ago. There, I was infected at a funeral, by a Georgian lady who drank excessively. She confessed to me that she felt being my aunt because my uncle is like a brother to her (they are classmates). Traditional Georgian kisses and hugs followed. The more she drank, the stronger her hugs and confessions became until she finally kissed me on the lips whispering "I am your second mother." As it turned out later, she was feeling unhealthy at that time but was holding on.
Now, I assume, that was probably omicron in Georgia. So, being immune to it couldn't protect me from an older version of the virus. Probably, a traveler from a distant country could sneeze near me during one of my street photography walks...
(Both diagnoses are just a theory of mine, I haven't been tested in the hospital both times. It could be it was some other virus in both cases that causes a terrible cough and six days of fever.)
And these are photos I took before I got sick.
A sausage street vendor. There was so much red there that I felt I couldn’t allow her to go without becoming my model.
You've guessed right, this is again Yaowarat Street, Bangkok's Chinatown.
There are reasons why I return there.
Even a transport one: a cheap bus right from faraway suburbs where I live goes directly to Chinatown. (Do you know red means also beautiful in Russian?)
But the main thing, of course, is the variety of scenes that can be seen there.
People of different colors, lifestyles, and age; hard work and good mood.
Sometimes you can feel that people feel like they are in a fairy tale, in a dream that has come true.
He looked like a Hollywood character, a sort of Captain America - I couldn't help sneaking an image.
Still a kid. What is he staring at?
Perhaps, at this?
Scorpion sellers have a major problem: everybody takes images, no one buys.
The show must go on but I hated an idea of missing the last bus and paying for a taxi so I left earlier than I wanted (as always) taking these hands with me on the go,
along with this night lottery seller.
I was hurrying up along alleys to the bus stop, and somewhere inside me the disease was already ripening.

I took these images with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G on a full-frame DSLR Nikon D750 in Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand.

Wow, the street are crowded and the place looks like in progressive.
Yes, the place is full of people and fun :)
Yes that is true.
Looks like an awesome place!
Good I've succeeded to showcase it. Because the place is truly awesome, and I am going to visit it again and again with wide open aperture and tightly closed and a wide angle and telephoto... etc :)
Thank you!
