Google Decides to Join EOS Blockchain Community

So the big news is coming from the EOS camp. Google Cloud has decided to joined the EOS community to become the block producer. Today's release came from Block.one, the developer of EOSIS protocol on which the EOS network has been built, reads:

Block.one is excited to report that Google Cloud, a global hyperscale cloud and infrastructure provider, will join the EOS community and is taking steps to become an EOS network block producer.

For Google Cloud to be an EOS block producer, it will need the approval of community(21 block producers), which shouldn't be an issue considering the stature of Google.

Having a giant like google interested in being a block producer is indeed a milestone for EOS and a reflection confidence in the EOS community & the EOSIO technology. EOS is already up by 12% in last two hours following the announcement.

With a giant like Google ligning up to a Block Producer of EOS, it is not far fetched to say that bright times lies ahead for EOS.
