Minetest Diary: Epic Battle in the Arena

Welcome to my Minetest diary!

Today was yet another fun day in Neoxiancity minetest server. Two days ago the great dragon @Neoxian, set up a battle arena for citizen to blow off steam and have duos.

Let me share some screenshots of the our minetest server battling arena:

Yesterday was the first day of official arena battles with me and @vickoly were picked by city giveaway bot to have a due for winning 100% Dragon doot.

It was best of three duo. @vickoly came with his all diamond armor and diamond sword. I came with my Nether/Diamond armor and heavily improved Nether sword. With my Nether/Diamond armor along with one of the best swords out there, @vickoly stood no chance...poor guy! It was a walk in the park and I won two rounds straight away.

And Today again city giveaway bot picked me and @vickoly for arena battle. To even out the odds @Neoxian tweaked battle rules a bit this time. No personal armor and weapons were allowed. Both participants were provided with steel armor and steel swords. Healing using food during battle was allowed.

Again it was 3 rounds duo. In first round I took out @vickoly easily. I landed a few hit on Vic and also took a few. But I backed away quickly and healed myself, Vic may be got a bit carried away and followed me without healing himself. This time having my full health I took out Vic easily.

Round 2 was unexpected for me. I became overconfident and may be went way too aggressive. Vic took me out this time.

I started Round 3 cautiously. Keeping myself agile my plan was to avoid being over aggressive. After landing a few hits, I backed away to heal myself. Meanwhile Vic took too long to heal and that was my chance to land the hit. While he was eating and desperately tryin to recover his health, I changes and to land the death blows.

Woo...this was such a fun battle. Neo battle rule adjustments by Neo sir did refined the arena battling. Now on its not about better armor or weapons but instead individual maneuvering and battling skills matter.

It was fun having @neoxian and @rosecane to hover around as referees. Moreover the audience with their claps and opinions during the match created such an awesome battling environment.
