The Corpus Christi festival is the biggest celebration that takes place in the city of Granada, in the south of Spain. It is a religious festival that has its origins in 1492 when the kings of Granada granted the city the privilege of guarding the holy values.
The big day is always on Thursday and the central activity is the religious procession that starts at the cathedral and goes through the main streets of Granada.
