Land 1.0

Heya everyone,

As we all know Splinterlands has launched Land 1.0 entitled The Secret of Praetoria!

As you can see in the above picture I have claimed my deeds and also surveyed them. I had one tract and 33 plots in the Whittacer region. It was a hell of a ride to understand the basics of land. Truly I am just a simple splinterlander who just loves playing a game. I have never been into such kind of things and it was really new to me. So to understand things really well I had to read Land's whitepaper almost 3 times. Yes, I am slow at learning things i don't know about. So it took me quite enough time to grab even simple things. Once I did I was like that was easy hehe. Well, Currently we are in land phase 1.0 where we just had to claim deeds and survey them. After that, I am anxiously waiting for land phase 1.5 where we will be able to start staking cards on our lands and put them to work.

Surveying Land

Surveying Land is one of the most basic and essential parts of the land phase1.0. After surveying your land you can see which Terrain Type your land is. There are 14 different types of Terrain. Such as Badlands, Bog, Caldera, Canyon, Desert, Forest, Hills, Jungle, Lake, Mountain, Plains, River, Swamp, and Tundra. So once you are done with surveying your land look at Terrain Type.

Starter Packages

Ok, this part is very important. before surveying your land you should use these starter packages. They are going to reduce production costs. And for those who didn't bother to use any starter package, I hope they won't regret their decision. Without starter packages, production costs will be 2x. I spent 2m DECB and 660k Dec for nothing.

Cost of 2m DECB

Well I purchased DEC-B with vouchers to it cost me 10k vouchers and the current values of 10k vouchers:

Current price of 10000 VOUCHER is 2991.0009 SWAP.HIVE ($1269.721756).

I spent this much on my tract. And for the remaining 33 plots I spent 660k decs on 2 boosters.

Current price of 660000 DEC is 1412.73 SWAP.HIVE ($599.826793).

Alone booster took away lots of money. So i am wondering what would happen when we will start staking cards and decs. The land is never going to be cheap to keep :p.

Booster type

There are three types of boosters.

Building in a Box: Booster building in the box will allow me to begin construction at level 1 and for that, I don't need to pay Dec or other resources. Do you see how awesome this booster is? but sadly it will be useable in land phase 2 because land 1.5 doesn't include any type of construction.

Time Vault

This booster will provide 150 Crystal tokens and 15000-grain tokens. And we will be needing a lot of grain to feed our workers. Since I used time vault on my all plots so currently, I have 1m and 995k grain tokens and 20k crystal tokens. This booster will reduce the number of necessary production points. The next booster is Unstable totem. I didn't use this booster on my Land so I am not going to write about it. There is a lot of stuff I need to write about Lands. I will divide the stuff into multiple posts. whatever I am learning and gathering information about lands I will share on my blog. For me, this is a quite an interesting topic. so I can't write everything in one post. In the next post, I will be talking about the next phase of land.
