The fear of letting go

Today I was reading a post on one social app. The title of the post caught my attention. And that post made me write this. I pondered on this topic before writing anything. So what was the title of this post? If it is hurting you then let it go.

Letting go is that easy thing? I mean for someone it is so easy to say let it go but in reality, it is not that easy to let something go you really want in your life.

But let me ask you a simple question. Have you ever been in a situation where you've been holding on to something and you know very well you have to let go of because it is hunting your deep down inside?

I guess we all are on the same boat. We all are going through such circumstances where some people are struggling with negative thoughts. I mean when you read such kind of post you actually get to know what people are going through. It was heart-wrenching when I was reading comments on that post. One commenter was like how can he get rid of negative thoughts? negative thoughts have surrounded him all over and those thoughts keep hitting him emotionally which is leading him towards fear of death.

What could you suggest to that person in such an intense situation? According to my little knowledge if you counter 1 negative thought with three positive thoughts then it could help?

Now let's move ahead and now I am going to share something which is exactly my story :P I 100% relate with this. S a girl was sad and she was asking she is in love with someone who is not hers. And she must let him go because he doesn't feel the same as she does. So it is the most painful feeling she is going through.

I can't share all the comments I read but what I believe is most of the time we can't imagine life without them so that fear of losing keeps us holding on.
Do you agree with this? if not then whatever

Enjoyed this post xawi :) - Interestingly enough you're right. It's part of our basic psychology. When we have a fear of losing something then we hold onto it tighter. That can be physical, or mental :)
