New little birds in the nest [EN/PT]

Visiting my godmother's house is always a guarantee that some surprise is going to happen, and the last time I went there was no different.

I was chatting with her and my uncle in the living room when I heard various bird chirps, but I didn't notice where they were coming from. I asked my uncle, and he told me that it was a new hummingbird family that was forming right in the garage!

Immediately, I asked him to show me because I had never seen a nest so close. He showed me where they were, and right away, I was very surprised.

The nest was made on the leaves of one of the many ferns he cultivates there. I was amazed by the feat of the mommy bird (or daddy, I'm not sure). I asked my uncle if it was okay for me to approach the nest because I would never want to disturb that beautiful family of nature from developing as it should be: free!

My uncle said it was no problem, especially since the nest was very close to his car, and he passed by there every day. So, I began my attempt to get as close as possible without scaring the mommy bird away.

With very short and slow steps, I approached little by little, avoiding making her fly away. I managed to take some pictures of the tiny mommy hummingbird inside the nest, incubating the eggs. My uncle had already told me that there were two because he had seen them on another day.

I ventured a little more in the mission to get closer, and the mommy bird flew away, but she kept watching me from afar. Then, I got closer to the nest and could contemplate its magnificent beauty! I was completely amazed by the work that was done there.

I had never seen a nest so close, and I could perfectly observe all the bird's work in construction. The nest was very robust and firm, made with fibers, small branches, and leaves. Stunning!!

When I looked inside the nest, the surprise was even greater! The baby birds had already hatched from the eggs! My uncle was also surprised at this moment. I found it the cutest thing in the world. Two little babies, still with their eyes closed, unaware of what awaits them in the world outside. So adorable!!

I quickly took some photos and then moved away so that the mommy could return to her babies! I am passionate about birds and advocate that this is exactly how they should live, freely, released into nature, far from cages!

Visitar a casa da minha madrinha é ter certeza de que alguma surpresa vai acontecer e, da última vez que fui lá, não foi diferente.

Estava conversando com ela e com meu tio na sala, quando escutei vários pios de passarinho, mas não percebi de onde estavam vindo. Perguntei ao meu tio e ele me disse que era uma nova família de beija-flor que estava em formação bem na garagem!

Imediatamente pedi a ele que me mostrasse, por nunca havia visto um ninho tão de perto. Ele me mostrou onde estavam e, logo de cara, já fiquei muito surpresa.

O ninho foi feito nas folhas de uma das várias samambaias que ele cultiva por lá. Eu fiquei maravilhada com a façanha da mamãe pássaro (ou papai, não sei). Perguntei ao meu tio se havia problema em eu me aproximar do ninho, porque jamais iria querer atrapalhar aquela família linda da natureza a se desenvolver como deve ser: livre!

Meu tio disse que não tinha problema, até porque o ninho era bem perto do carro dele e ele passava por ali todos os dias. Então, dei início à minha tentativa de chegar o mais perto possível sem espantar a mamãe que tava ali.

Com passos bem curtinhos e bem vagarosamente, fui aproximando aos poucos, evitando que ela voasse. Consegui fazer alguns cliques da pequena mamãe beija-flor dentro do ninho, chocando os ovinhos. Meu tio já havia me dito que haviam dois, porque ele tinha visto em um outro dia.

Me arrisquei um pouco mais na missão de me aproximar e a mamãe pássaro voou, mas continuou a me observar de longe. Então, cheguei mais perto do ninho e pude cotemplar a beleza magnifíca dele! Eu fiquei completamente maravilhada com o trabalho que foi feito ali.

Nunca tinha visto um ninho tão próximo e pude observar perfeitamente todo o trabalho do pássaro na construção. O ninho era bem robusto e firme, feito com fibras, pequenos galhos e folhas. Estonteante!!

Quando olhei dentro do ninho, a surpresa foi maior! Os bebês pássaros já haviam saído dos ovinhos! Meu tio também se surpreendeu nesse momento. Achei a coisa mais fofa do mundo. Dois pequenos bebês, ainda de olhinhos fechados, sem saber o que os esperam no mundo aqui fora. Muito lindinhos!!

Fotografei bem rapidinho e saí logo de perto, para que a mamãe retornasse para os bebezinhos dela!! Eu sou apaixonada por pássaros e defendo que é exatamente dessa forma que eles devam viver, de forma livre, soltos na natureza, longe de gaiolas!
