¿De dónde viene mi enojo? Contest #95 /Where does my anger come from? Contest #95

Greetings to all the wonderful community of @ladiesofhive I am pleased to stop by, I confess that I was attracted to this week's contest 95.

I invite my friend @mos@71 to participate.

The question is this:

We all have a different boiling point, some of us get angry easily, others have a very cold temper. Please share one thing that makes you angry, how long you stay angry and what or who can appease.

I have just been working on these issues in me, that's why I was encouraged to write.

Obviously as a human being there are things that make me angry, that make my day.

One of them that I am working on so that it does not control me so much is punctuality. I always arrive on time, that is to say on time, not before or after, so leaving the house is something that changes my mood, I get bitter, I get obstinate if with the people I am with I leave late, it is something I could not control, with my previous partner the poor guy was slow to get dressed, I let him get ready first but I was ready before, dressed, made up and combed, he was always missing something and when we were leaving something was left behind, usually the wallet, keys, it was something that made me angry and my face changed.

I realized that there was stress in me, bitterness, anger and really if I was on time or not, nobody cares about that, it is one of my values, because I respect the time of others, but I live in Venezuela, a Latin country where events start half an hour or an hour after the scheduled time, I began to realize that my bitterness was worthless and I just did not want to be like that anymore.

Because it affected me, it is a specific value for me, because it causes me bitterness or stress, because values build our lives, they are virtues. Beyond a value it had become a tie that instead of perfecting my being was embarrassing me. Besides the fights it caused with the people around me.

One day I was getting ready to go out with my mother and suddenly in minutes she was ready and sat next to me so I could see that she was ready waiting for me and there I understood where my madness and fight to be on time came from.

I remembered that at home there was the same problem, my father would take too long to get ready and my mom would get ready in a second and start hurrying, she would push for my father to hurry, she would leave the house and say: I will wait outside, or I will wait in the car.

By feeling her stress on me, I experienced what the other person feels because of me.

I also realized that punctuality was not a value that I chose, it was a harmful program or habit that I learned from my parents and unconsciously it was on me.

Realizing this was liberating and I let go, I am committed to relax and enjoy my outings no matter the time, it matters what happens in me.

I don't want anything or myself to embitter my life, I choose to say yes to life, to joy and enjoyment. I am still on time but from a different point of view, taking care of myself, I am present, I play music, I enjoy getting ready and going out.

I wanted to comment on this particular case that was very revealing to me and also liberating.

Nothing outside should have the power to negatively affect and change our emotional system, for this we must know how to place limits, establish the appropriate conversations.

We are not perfect, surely there will be things that make us angry, but let it be less and less, and when it happens to you ask yourself why it happened, surely you will find great lessons.

It is great to read your thoughts and perspective about pushing others to be on time... This is a wake up call for me because I'm easily stressed out while waiting for others to get ready. I love how you shifted from being uptight to letting it all go and enjoying moments.

And this too, says it all. Thank you :)

I decided because I realized that it affected me and affected others negatively and life today is sacred, it makes no sense to live like that.

You're amazing to be able to do that :) You're absolutely right, no sense at all to live life in anger and negativity. Cheers to you and stay happy ;)

Oh the story of waiting, it really needs patience or else you will get angry. Being punctual is good but we also need patience to wait for others.

Thanks for sharing sis @yadimelgar
