And so true that our pain/suffering can colour the art/writing/poetry we create. It's the glue that often binds authentic poetry. I think also joy as well, there is always a balance.

Thank you, for your encouragement, fellow poet @raj808.

As a younger man, in my twenties and thirties, I romanticized suffering and even courted it.

Now, as I approach fifty (in less than two years) I'm slightly less foolish and, although I still honor it as a teacher, I appreciate the great value of joy & gratitude.

I hope your 2022 is off to a good start, my friend, and hope it is a healthy and creative year <3
