What is the Price of a Secret? (original poem)

img_9380.png

The price we pay
for exquisite secrets
is exorbitant

In private rooms,
we are fleeced.

Far from the madding crowd
at the bazaar, there we are,
sheepsih and sly

Seeking to strike a deal
but with... Whom?

A diamond truth
is up for auction
for those with diamond hearts

To kiss a mystery,
a miracle to hoard

Naturally, is well beyond
what we ever dreamed
we could afford

We give our lives for such
shuddering intimacies

And hope and pray
our lives will be enough,
the balance cancelled

The guardian of the riddle
must only speak in riddles.

Una verdad de diamantes esta en subasta para aquellos que tienen corazones de diamantes, el cambio no es equitativo pero si es real. Saludos..

A truth of diamonds is up for auction for those who have hearts of diamonds, the change is not fair but it is real. Greetings..

Greetings, and thanks, for this interesting comment. May we polish our hearts until the diamond shines... Bless you 🙏

It reminds me of the type of secret people wish they could un-learn. I don't think I fully understood this poem but that adds to the mystery of it too (it has its own riddles).

Thank you, for reading, friend. I was thinking of mystical truths, that we must give our lives to learn (die before we die). But, as you know, the author is not the sole authority on a poem and it's open to interpretation.

Hope this finds you in good health and creative.🙏
