When you live on a farm, visiting a town is a big deal. Today, we needed to stock up on medicine for our sick trees and pick up new plants and such.

The drive itself was not too long and we stopped at a cafeteria, for ice cream and drinks, to make the most of our outing.

Most towns in this part of Colombia are designed the same way : the church in the center ⛪️ with lots of bars and stores surrounding.

Parked in front of the church was a colorful chiva bus 🚌 which, in the past, I’ve known as a party bus.

Taking a walk around the central park, it was fun to people watch and take in the local flavor.

After our little break, it was time to head back and pick up some new plants 🪴

We spent a fair amount of time, there, before we chose a couple of lovely climbing pink Bougainvilleas and a dozen pretty yellow potted plants.

Being a bird-lover, our trip to the nursery was made more memorable, when I encountered these 2 green beauties in the corner of the store — one of them was as curious about me as I was of her 🦜
