First Baby Steps With A Grand Audience

How time flies. This time last week we were celebrating the one year anniversary of hive learner’s featured contest. It was a little bit different from the regular days but it was still fun writing on the topics. Back to default settings now hehe.

Humanity starts once you are brought into the world. One goes through a lot of life processes right from infancy to death and that is why it is always important to celebrate and enjoy the happy times. We have all been babies except those of us that like to make fun and say we were birthed as we are now. At some point, I am sure most of us have used this joke.

“Babies are a gift from God” as said by a lot of people to especially expecting mothers and those trying to have kids but some reason are not.

Everyone loves kids they say. Why, because kids are so adorable that they can cure your bad mood. The innocence of kids makes me want to return to my childhood days where I all I did was eat, sleep, play and cry. I hurriedly grew up and look at me now😅.

As parents, siblings, uncles and nephews, we are looking forward to that first word, that fist “mama” and “dada” and those extremely special first steps.

Parents try so much to capture these moments of their kids and perhaps, it is one of the reasons, so many kids have cameras placed in front of their faces 24/7. Does it make kids uncomfortable? Maybe one of the kids would have to come on board and explain.😂

I have not been blessed with helping anyoney siblings nature their lives through that period and say the first words. After me, my parents decided it was enough and they were not going to have more kids. How selfish of them for denying me the chance to have a younger siblings. 😅

Well that didn’t stop me from seeing a baby take his or her step. My elder brother’s children are the unlucky ones that have felt my wrath. He must be sick by my sight but after all, what are brothers for?😮‍💨

The first time I saw my niece walk, I felt a different kind of happiness and love. I was playing with her in her parents living room when this young lady just got back and attempted to walk.

Of course, she fell but you could see another try was coming😅. As I see in movies and I thought it wasn’t entirely correct, but hmm it was correct. You see all those bubbly and giggly expressions of kids we see them exhibit, they’re all legit. I mean this girl was laughing after falling a number of times.

My niece finally got to her feet and made a few steps 😁. You should have seen my sister in law and I smiling with our mouths wide open 😅.

It looks like she chose a perfect time to walk cos almost the entire family was present. My sister in law, my elder brother, myself and my sister in law’s parents. Talk about making a dramatic entrance 😅.
