The Lions Recharge On Days Like Today - LPUD

Hello everyone, today marks a special day in the hive blockchain for a very special community. It is the 15th of April and just like it is a hive power up day for the overall blockchain on the first of every new month, it is a leo power up day, LPUD on the 15th of every new month for the lions of the blockchain.

The leo token is the token of the leo community that is used for a number of functions. As part of a way of strengthening the token and the community, this power up event is done on days like today and to fully understand what it means, you have to login to the leo threads to see how excited the lions are.

Since last year, the leo token had been performing very well even while the market was bear. At the time of writing, the leo token according to hive engine was $0.1171776. To put it in hive context, 1 leo token equals 0.37199000 hive.

Before the end of the year, I had staked or powered up more than a 1000 leo tokens but I powered it down due to some reasons and hopefully me back staking will prove to happen for a long time. My leo goals have always been clear despite powering down last year.

Before powering up today, I had a staked balance of 600 leo tokens and a liquid balance of 206 leo tokens. It might take the next leo power up to get me to a 1000 staked leo tokens unless maybe the price of $LEO dips a bit and I am fortunate to take advantage of the market during that time. I don't necessarily want the $LEO token to dip because it is doing well and it says how much the community believes in the project and how much work the team has put into the project.

The amount of work the team does behind the scenes but go unnoticed but the performance of the $LEO tokens speaks for it self. One of the recent updates that the community has seen is the listing on the $LEO token on the MAYA protocol. I believe its in effect now where you can swap any asset you want into or out of hive including USDC. It's really great times because this listing on MAYA means potentially a lot more people will get to know about leo and hive in general. Talk about advertising, this is right up there.
