Introspection

Greetings my dear Hive community!!!

Goodnight my dear Hivers!!! it's time to go to sleep but first I leave you with my new post. šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ˜‹

Today I present a portrait I made with an intriguing and evocative touch. My idea for this piece is to make us imagine the thoughts and emotions in this portrayed moment. The darkness that surrounds her is to convey a sense of mystery and bewilderment, as if we were delving into the depths of her being. However, the scant light filtering through the darkness is to suggest that there is a spark of hope or inner light in her. It is as if the light wants to break through the shadows, illuminating her face and showing the beauty and strength hidden behind her appearance.

This was a work I did very quickly with the invitation to reflect on the complex emotions and moods we all experience at some point in our lives, and to explore the duality that often exists in our psyche: light and dark, sadness and joy, introspection and connection with the world.

For this work, I wanted to experiment with a different approach in my creative process. Normally, I tend to work on my illustrations in a polished and detailed way, but this time I wanted to do something more natural and fluid. I wanted to free myself from the pressure of having to produce something perfect and focus on creating something that made me feel 100% free and spontaneous, as well as emotionally fulfilled.

Instead of limiting myself by the usual expectations I usually have in my creative process, I allowed myself to experiment in a more authentic way. Instead of seeking perfection, I focused on the creative process itself and the personal satisfaction it gave me.

This approach allowed me to fully enjoy my work without the self-imposed limitations that can often restrict artistic expression.

I hope you enjoy my new work. šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–

Some images of the process

Step 1ļøāƒ£

1 (2).jpg

  • First and having the idea of what I wanted in my portrait I did something super fast, many brushstrokes in a looser way than I usually do in my work.

-.-

Step 2ļøāƒ£

2 (2).jpg

  • For the second step I continued doing the same thing using looser brushstrokes and without any order other than a portrait that evoked feelings of mystery and nostalgia and so I was giving shape to this painting.

-.-

Step 3ļøāƒ£

3 (2).jpg

  • In this part I already had something more concrete, I just made sure that the position and composition were correct. I worked on the details of the face and hair, paying special attention to the closed eyes to capture that nostalgic feeling.

-.-

Step 4ļøāƒ£

4 (2).jpg

  • Then, I started adding details and shadows, using soft strokes to create the illusion of depth and volume.

-.-

Step 5ļøāƒ£

5 (2).jpg

  • Once I was satisfied, I started to apply a little more color to her face, such as the cheeks and some highlights in the hair.

-.-

Step 6ļøāƒ£

6 (2).jpg

  • For the final details, and making sure the lighting and shadows were natural and a little more coherent, I added some details in the hair and worked with soft brush strokes on her face to give her a more natural feel.

-.-

Final result šŸ˜˜

And that's how I created my portrait. I hope you liked it and that you got an idea of how my whole process of artistic creation went.

See you soon and have a good rest and sweet dreams... Now yes, I'm going to sleep.

Chau, chau, chauuuuu šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ’–šŸ„°šŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸ˜“šŸ˜“šŸ˜“

Hi @yanes94! I loved your reflection on introspection. It's true that many times we can feel overwhelmed by our own emotions and thoughts, but taking the time to reflect and connect with oneself can be very liberating and healing. Introspection allows us to get to know ourselves better and understand our own motivations and desires, which helps us make better decisions and live a more authentic life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and motivating us all to find time for introspection. keep going!
