How have you been? I've been dealing with things, quite busy actually, among other recent news, lots of issues with electricity since, well, we got hit pretty hard by it these last few days. After enduring over 12 hours without power, it seems like it's not enough, and there's more the next day. Well, that's complicated for work, but here we are, another day!
As I mentioned in the last post, I wanted to make this small series of stickers, which, to be honest, I'm not sure will be for Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, or the others; that's something I'll discover later as I'm still experimenting with this type of drawing, taking small breaks from what I'm working on, which is something that has taken me a good amount of time, and also with so many mistakes, I have to stop for many hours.
I'm not an expert in this type of drawing, as you well know if you've seen me before, so I've been doing my research. Also, I've had the guidance, and as she told me, a complete podcast full of tips that helped me a lot; she's incredible with this type of drawings, creating beauties and cuteness. Well, I'm very thankful for her help; she clarified many things for me.😍😍😘😘🥰
For this time, I've selected these two in addition to 😂 this one.
I made what would be the sketch or idea for this drawing, nothing too detailed, I think it's barely understandable but it made sense to me, I guess. Since I had to deal with the lines no matter what, I didn't want to focus too much on the sketch. But it did work for what I had to do.
After having some things clear about what I needed to work on, I tried to make the lines more decent because this time, compared to the previous one, I wouldn't try to remove the line . Also, I helped myself a bit with the pen tool, working on it is a new experiment but I'm a bit happier with these lines hmmm I know there are things to improve, but it seems like progress.😅
I don't usually work with such saturated colors, but since this time I'm working totally opposite to everything I usually do, and it was one of my friend's advice that colors and lines, if the image is going to be scaled, it affects, so I have selected and completely based the colors of the characters I have selected for this drawing and I have placed a base.
I've placed some shadows to add some volume, compared to the previous image, which I admit I was afraid wouldn't work. I've relaxed a bit; I mostly liked the clothes. For the face, it was a combination of shadows, as there will be some parts with slightly harsh shadows and others with softer ones.
I've added some highlights, along with a few other small details to finish this drawing. It seems like this one leaves me more satisfied because it'll serve for what I want to do.
