The Briefest of Blooms

Greetings my dear Hive community!!!

Some flowers like sunflowers stand tall and proud
While others, like daisies, lay low in a crowd
There are flowers that put on a show
The moment their first petals grow
Like the rose, who’s beautiful, and wants us to know

There is one though that is unique
Somewhat difficult to seek
Who blooms on one specific night
By the moon’s bright silver light
Opening herself to the world’s gaze
Disappearing before the sun’s rays

From one day to the next, her appearance is unchanged
But life for this solitary flower will never be the same.
Now she has seen the night and the light, she has decided to stay
back inside, to hide, between her petals, wrapped up tight
And like all the other flowers, that choice is her right.

This piece was purchased by the amazing,@Bavugar and was created to participate in a project that consisted of making the art without telling anyone and then, an account that had nothing to do with the artist would make the sale in secret and then the collector would be revealed to buy the piece to which artist it belonged, we were a total of 10 girls artists who participated in this project called -=Kato curates: The Secret Artist Project=-.🤭🤐

Step 1️⃣

First of all I was asked to do something not so similar to my style, the idea was to do something different to what I was used to so they wouldn't find out who the piece was from... So I thought a little and although I have always done fantasy I wanted to do it but with a more pastel touch.

Step 2️⃣

After I had the sketch, I went on to make volume to my piece in grayscale.

Step 3️⃣

In this part I just detailed my piece a lot more, I worked on how I wanted the petals to be.

Step 4️⃣

I did something in the background so she wouldn't look lonely 😋, what I did was to place some branches I had from an old drawing.🤫

Step 5️⃣

Here the party started 🤭🤣... I painted my piece but then I realized it wasn't what I was supposed to want so I basically worked a few hours for nothing hehehehehe.

Step 6️⃣

So I decided to paint again to achieve more pastel tones, something difficult for me since I had never done it before, and I also worked on the petals to make them look softer and give a sensation of real petals, I also changed a little bit the stem, I arranged the anatomy making it a little smaller so it would look like a younger flower and not so old.

Here I only worked on finishing the details and also on making her a lot of glitter, the background I only distorted it a little bit because I only wanted her to call the attention and not the background... And finally I really enjoyed being in this project because it was a lot of fun to play in the tweets to mislead people about whose pieces they were and also the same day my piece got an offer and the second day the whole collection was sold out. 🥰🥰🥰
