Serie de dibujos para elaborar un calendario. I parte [ESP/ENG]

Greetings @hivearte community, today I want to share with you the first part of a project-gift that I want to make to the veterinary doctor of my beloved 4-legged babies, which consists or the general idea is a calendar, with a series of illustrated images in the respective numbers containing a month where, most of them would be dogs and cats.

In itself, the numbers will go from 1 to 31, on the back of them would be glued some magnets because, apart, I would make another figure that also has a magnet and this is the one that would move to the corresponding day, that is, the numbers are the ones that would be fixed, while that other figure is the one that would move, I do not know if I know how to explain this part. 😅

Anyway, as there are many numbers and drawings to elaborate in each of them, the first thing I did was to make a list from 1 to 31, and that would go in each number, example on day 1 a cat, but on day 2 a dog and so on. I looked for pictures on the internet, on the vecteezy page, since I didn't want to last too long thinking about the shape and that, basically I traced from those images, but it is that they are a big number and time is pressing.

Now, I drew the lines of the figure of a kitten in an A4 document, 300 ppi, after that, I filled it in white, I made some effects there between cloud and blurred, I intensified some shadows in black, then other spots in beige and black lowered opacity, and at the end, an overlay layer in red and lowered opacity.

I exported it in png, and opened it in another document, in that document, I painted a red circle with other effects, because I wanted it to look like a Japanese illustration, however, when I put the figure of the kitten over it, I was not convinced, I felt that it should look more like Chinese ink.

I decided to download new brushes for Krita, since it is the free software program that I use, some brushes that gave that Chinese ink effect. I got some that were similar, so I made again this kitten, in this case, I didn't add a white background, or anything like that, but some blurring effects, spots and clouds, playing with the opacity of the black.

I exported it in the same way as the other one, in png format and placed it in the other document with the red circle; it was not what I wanted, but I didn't dislike the result. Then, I looked for some Japanese style typographies, so the numbers would have the one known as Hirokawa and, with a mask cutout, the part of that number that enters the circle, would be in white and the part that protrudes in black.
