Cattle Farmer Activities in My Village

Hello Hive'r

In this post I share about the activities of cattle farmers in my place of residence. Where I live, the average population is farmers, apart from farming there are also cattle raising as a side job. The cows that they raise are usually released or shepherded when the harvest season is over and put in a cage at night. Before the cows are put into the cage, apart from being given food in the form of straw, a smoking fire is also made inside the cage. The purpose of making a fire so that the cows are not bitten by mosquitoes. In order for the fire to last long in the cages, the farmers use rice husks as fuel.

To get the husk, the farmers take it at the chaff disposal site in the village. The activity of taking this husk uses a sack and is carried out in the afternoon. The activity of taking husks in the afternoon in my village can be said to have become a culture. When I was a child, before there was a chaff disposal site in my place, my friends and I took the cekan directly at the rice mill, much different today, the husks are dumped directly on vacant lands in the village, and even then there must be a permit from the land owner.

That's a little bit of my short writing about the activities of the cattle breeders in my village. I also did this activity when I was a teenager because my father was not only a farmer but also a cattle farmer as a side job. That's all and thank you.
