Teumeuweuh is an Acehnese language, which means the activity of cleaning rice plants from weeds such as grass. In contrast to teumeuweuh other plants such as teuweuh peanuts use a small hoe as a tool, if teuweuh does not use any tools, only rely on hands to pull the grass - grass that is in the rice plant.
Teumeuweuh is usually done after the rice is 30 days old or more, or after the rice plants are given fertilizer. Usually the grasses in rice plants grow and enlarge after the rice is fertilized so that this teumeuweuh must be done by rice farmers so that rice plants grow quickly and fertile.
This teumeuweuh is usually done by women using the meu uroe system, but over time, men have also helped to do this teumeuweuh. Although in modern times pesticides to eradicate weeds in rice plants are widely circulated in the market, but many farmers are reluctant to use pesticides, because pesticides can kill weeds, but can inhibit the growth of rice plants, if in Acehnese it is called Tahe Pade.
That's just my brief explanation of teumeuweuh, I hope you like it.
