Hello Hive'r

Every time Idul Fitri arrives, the people of Pidie district, especially the community of Liliep village, Simpang Tiga District have a tradition to maintain ukhuwah and friendship, the tradition is cooking nasi lemak or in Acehnese it is called meulumak. Meulumak is a meal together by making a typical leumak rice menu with a budget collected from local village youths and women.

The process of making leumak rice is done together until it is delivered to people's homes. Usually after the leumak rice is ready to be wrapped, the men from children to the elderly are invited to the meulumak event venue by using loudspeakers, if the women are escorted directly to the house by the committee.

Meulumak has a very powerful meaning, not just consumption and taste, but the values contained in the meulumak tradition can establish friendship and cohesiveness of the village youth.
