HODL - #13 ZapFic50 Friday - Prompt: grumble

This is my participation in the 13th ZapFic50Friday challenge.

It's a challenge brought to us by @felt.buzz and the Freewriters Community, it tests our ability to construct as complete of a story as we can, using exactly 50 words, no more, no less! And with a specific Prompt word provided each week.

This week's prompt word is: Grumble
So without further ado, here's my fiction story
As their currency started dwindling to a trickle of value, the weak hands started shaking and letting go of their holdings.

A grumble between the masses could be heard from a mile away. Has it all been in vain?

Little those masses knew that it was all but a trick.

Is that the only word counter? It looks slightly different from the one I used when I did zapfic.

There are others. Also in this screenshot it's on mobile phone browser, so it might look a bit different than on PC.
