The history of this admirable construction dates back to the construction of the Tlaltenango mill, arranged by Hernán Cortes in the year 1530. In 1642, the descendants of Cortés changed the location of this mill, to take it to certain places near Jiutepec. In this way the most relevant sugar estate in New Spain came to light. In the 19th century it experienced a new era of splendor, thanks to the innovative impulse it received from Lucas Alamán, a notable historian and politician. During the second part of the 20th century, the Hacienda de San Antonio Atlacomulco underwent partial remodeling.

Derived from these efforts, the project arose to transform it into a maximum luxury hotel, with the name of Hacienda de Cortés. You should not miss its fortunate combination of tradition and avant-garde, in one of the most attractive climates in Mexico.
