Hello dear community @Haveyoubeenhere! today I bring you my first post in this great community, I will show you my most recent trip to Santa Cruz de Mompox - Bolivar a beautiful heritage town of Colombia that with its beautiful colonial architecture makes us feel that we go back in time specifically to the colonial era.
Hola querida comunidad @Haveyoubeenhere! hoy les traigo mi primer post en esta gran comunidad, les mostrare mi mas reciente viaje a Santa Cruz de Mompox - Bolívar un hermoso pueblo patrimonio de Colombia que con sus hermosa arquitectura colonial nos hace sentir que retrocedemos en el tiempo específicamente a la época colonial.
For work reasons I undertook a trip to Santa Cruz de Mompox, the road trip lasted about 6 hours, we stayed in a hotel in the town of Mompox, the next morning we went to the central town to have breakfast some delicious pork pies very common in this area of Colombia.
Por motivos de trabajo emprendí un viaje a Santa cruz de Mompox el viaje por carretera duro 6 horas aproximadamente, nos alojamos en un hotel dentro de el pueblo de mompox, a la mañana siguiente nos fuimos al casco central a desayunar unos deliciosos pasteles de cerdo muy comunes en esta zona de Colombia.
We undertook a walk along the banks of the Magdalena River to observe the great architecture and commercial premises that are located in this area, we could see many restaurants with the cuisine here, antique stores and along the way we could see artisans who made silver accessories among them, we could find earrings, rings, necklaces in a technique called filigram momposina.
Emprendimos una caminata a las orillas del Rio Magdalena a observar la gran arquitectura y los locales comerciales que en esta zona se ubican, pudimos observar muchos restaurantes con la gastronomía de acá, tiendas de antigüedades y en el trayecto pudimos observar artesanos que confeccionaban accesorios en plata entre ellos , pudimos encontrar aretes,anillos,collares en una técnica llamada filigrama momposina.
We also found places where they sold handmade wine of different flavors, I particularly called my attention the corozo wine which is the most popular, for those who do not know the corozo is a fruit that resembles the grape or plum has a deep red color, only that this is not eaten alone because it is extremely acidic, to observe this wine I could not resist and buy one which I was served cold and is very similar to a sangria.
También encontramos lugares donde vendian vino artesanal de distintos sabores, particularmente me llamo la atención el vino de corozo que es el mas popular, para los que no saben el corozo es una fruta que se asemeja a la uva o a la ciruela tiene un color rojo intenso, solo que esta no se come sola porque es extremadamente ácida, al observar este vino no me resistí y compre uno el cual me sirvieron frió y es muy parecido a una sangría.
The architecture found in this place is fascinating, we observe immense doors in masisa wood, thick walls supported by very old thick wooden beams, its striking colors and its details in wrought iron.
La arquitectura que se encuentra en este lugar es algo fascinante, observamos puertas inmensas en madera masisa, paredes gruesas soportadas por vigas de madera gruesa muy antiguas, sus colores llamativos y sus detalles en hierro forjado.
Mompox is a warm and very pleasant place to walk in their villages, its climate is quite hot but its people and its architecture are magnificent, if you have the opportunity do not hesitate to drink the delicious corozo wine and buy some beautiful earrings.
Mompox es un lugar calido y muy agradable para pasear en sus pueblitos, su clima es bastante caluroso pero su gente y su arquitectura son magnificas, si tienes la oportunidad no dudes en tomarte el delicioso vino de corozo y de comprar unos bellos aretes.
