Oatmeal, Carrot, and Milk Pancakes (Eng/Esp)

I decided to try making some oatmeal pancakes with grated carrots. This combination works really well, and I think it’s a pretty good and quick breakfast option to whip up before heading off to work. Here’s what I did.

Ingredients:
- 70 grams of oat flour
- 3 tablespoons of milk
- 1 carrot
- 50 grams of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of water
- Pinch of salt
- Oil

Preparation:
I washed the carrot, peeled it, and grated it.
Then, in a bowl, I added half a cup of water and a pinch of salt.

I gradually added the oat flour and mixed it thoroughly. Then I added the milk and rolled oats; at this point, the consistency was somewhat thick and elastic, which is normal given the nature of the oats.


Finally, I added the grated carrot and mixed it again.
This mixture was perfect for making pancakes, so I heated a little oil in a skillet and cooked them there, seven minutes on each side; I ended up with five small ones.


These pancakes were completely natural—the sweetness came from the carrots. I served them with turkey ham, so I enjoyed another light breakfast.

Me aventuré a realizar unas tortitas de avena con zanahoria rallada, esta combinación se lleva muy bien y en el desayuno me parece que es una opción bastante buena y rápida para realizar antes de ir a cumplir con las obligaciones laborales. Les voy a describir lo que hice.

Ingredientes:
- 70 gramos de harina de avena
- 3 cucharadas de leche
- 1 zanahoria
- 50 gramos de avena en hojuelas
- 1/2 taza de agua
- Pizca de sal
- Aceite

Preparación:
Lavé la zanahoria, retiré las conchas y la rallé.
Luego en un envase coloqué media taza de agua y una pizca de sal.

De forma gradual fui agregando la harina de avena, mezclé muy bien. Luego añadí la leche y la avena en hojuelas, en este punto la consistencia era un tanto espesa y elástica, lo cual es normal por las características de la avena.


Finalmente agregué la zanahoria rallada y volví a batir.
Esta mezcla fue perfecta para formar unas tortitas, así que coloqué un sartén con un poco de aceite y allí las fui formando, cociné siete minutos de cada lado, me salieron cinco pequeñas.


Estas torticas estaban completamente naturales, el dulzor se lo dio la zanahoria. Acompañé con jamón de pavo, así disfruté de otro desayuno ligero.
