Esp/eng Graphic crossword puzzle: a fun strategy to improve language skills and perfect the spelling of our little ones!
Feliz jueves para todos los padres y madres que conforman la comunidad #homeedders, y que día a día dan lo mejor por la educación de nuestros pequeños.
Hoy les comparto una actividad que realicé en casa con mi pequeño; se trata de un crucigrama grafico de frutas; una estratégia muy efectiva para trabajar las habilidades linguisticas y perfeccionar la ortografía en nuestros hijos; es muy sencilla y economica de elaborar, y además permite pasar tiempo de calidad juntos.
Los crucigramas, por lo general se realizan con palabras, donde se dan pistas para encontrar la palabra correcta, y rllenar caa casilla, son muy útiles para trabajar la concentración y la memeoria; en esta oportunidad quise hacerlo de forma gráfica, para hacerlo mas entretenido para los niños, que se pueden aburrir al ver pura letras, yo utilicé frutas, pero se puede hacer también con figuras geométricas, o diferentes objetos!
Con esta estratégia didactica se logran muchos beneficios significativos en nuestros pequeños:
- mejorar las habilidades linguisticas
- favorecer la concentración y coordinación al tener que ubicar las palabras en la casilla correcta
- mejorar la ortografía, ya que debe escribir las palabras correctamente, para que entren en los cuadros, y porque unas se cruzan con otras de otra palabra.
- trabajar el reconocimiento y la identificación
- estimular la memoria
- mejorar el coficiente intelectual
- capacida para procesar información

Today I share with you an activity that I did at home with my little one; it is a graphic fruit crossword puzzle; a very effective strategy to work on language skills and improve spelling in our children; it is very simple and inexpensive to develop, and also allows us to spend quality time together.
The crossword puzzles, usually are made with words, where clues are given to find the correct word, and fill each box, are very useful to work concentration and memory; this time I wanted to do it graphically, to make it more entertaining for children, who can get bored to see pure letters, I used fruits, but you can also do it with geometric shapes, or different objects!
With this didactic strategy many significant benefits are achieved in our little ones:
- improve language skills
- improve concentration and coordination by having to place the words in the right box
- improve spelling, since they must write the words correctly, so that they fit in the boxes, and because some of them cross with other words of another word.
- to work on recognition and identification
- stimulate memory
- to improve the intellectual quotient
- ability to process information

Pegar 4 hojas recicladas que serán la base para elaborar el crucigrama, y con la ayuda de una regla armarlo, ubicando cada letra de acuerdo a la figura que corresponda.
Se ubican los las figuras ( pueden ser impresas o dibujadas, nosotros los dibujamos).
Glue 4 recycled sheets that will be the basis for the crossword puzzle, and with the help of a ruler assemble it, placing each letter according to the corresponding figure.
Place the figures (they can be printed or drawn, we draw them).
Ya listo el crucigrama, el niño deberá reconocer cada figura y escribir el nombre en las casillas correspondientes!
Once the crossword puzzle is ready, the child must recognize each figure and write its name in the corresponding boxes!
Así, nuestros pequeños se divierten al tiempo que aprenden!
