Hoy, quiero compartirles una actividad escolar de mi hijo en el área de geografía, sobre el uso de la brújula para conocer nuestra orientación, la maestra realizó una actividad en el aula donde llevo una brújula casera, hecha con corcho, una aguja, iman, y un vaso con agua; les explico a los niños los puntos cardinales, Norte, Sur, Este y Oeste, y, que la brújula siempre apunta hacia el Norte terrestre.
Como tarea para el hogar, los niños debían elaborar una brújula de material reciclado, y reforzar en casa el aprendizaje sobre su orientación, con actividades sencillas como: vendarles los ojos, y, decirles que miren hacia el norte, al abrir los ojos, ubicarse correctamente.
Que los niños giren en diferentes direcciones y, luego se ubiquen en cada punto cardinal, además reforzar esto con la elaboración de la brújula, para conocer los puntos cardinales ubicados correctamente, esto le ofrece a los niños benéficos como:
explorar su capacidad creativa
motricidad
conocer los puntos cardinales
ubicarse correctamente hacia el norte, en cualquier lugar
leer una brújula correctamente
evitar perderse a la hora de hacer una salida o excursión
orientarse correctamente.
Fue una experiencia nueva para mi hija, y muy significativa, quiero compartir con ustedes la elaboración de la brújula!

Today, I want to share with you a school activity of my son in the area of geography, about the use of the compass to know our orientation, the teacher did an activity in the classroom where she took a homemade compass, made with cork, a needle, magnet, and a glass with water; she explained to the children the cardinal points, North, South, East and West, and that the compass always points to the North of the earth.
As a homework assignment, the children had to make a compass out of recycled material, and reinforce at home the learning about their orientation, with simple activities such as: blindfold them, and tell them to look towards the north, and when they open their eyes, to locate themselves correctly.
Let the children turn in different directions and then locate themselves in each cardinal point, and reinforce this with the elaboration of the compass, to know the cardinal points correctly located, this offers children benefits such as:
exploring their creative capacity
motor skills
knowing the cardinal points
to locate themselves correctly towards the north, in any place.
reading a compass correctly
avoid getting lost when going on an outing or excursion
to orient oneself correctly.
It was a new experience for my daughter, and very meaningful, I want to share with you the elaboration of the compass!

En un cartón marcamos 2 círculos en la misma dirección, uno encima del otro, separados unos 2cm, además otro círculo y la aguja de la brújula.
Con la tijera recortamos todas las partes como indica la imagen.

With the scissors we cut out all the parts as shown in the image.
En un círculo blanco, marcamos los cuatro puntos cardinales, y lo pegamos en una de las esferas que cortamos, luego pegamos el círculo que cortamos por el centro, y por último la aguja, y lo fijamos con un tornillo.
De esta manera, mi hijo pudo cumplir con su actividad, obtuvo una calificación de A, 19, ¡y adquirió un nuevo conocimiento de su orientación geográfica!
On a white circle, we marked the four cardinal points, and glued it to one of the spheres we cut out, then we glued the circle we cut through the center, and finally the needle, and fastened it with a screw.
